This is the Integrer version of the FSR4 code. Its not official yet, so it requires a dll swap to work on RDNA2 and 3.

Runs pretty damn well on RDNA3 cards. RDNA2 takes a substantial hit comparatively though so not sure it's worth using on that over 3.1, would have to see the quality difference in person to judge. Hopefully it gets supported officially at some point so you don't have to bother with the DLL swapping.

The performance mode on FSR4 still looks way better than FSR3.1 quality. And they have similar performance.
So even on RDNA2, its best to use FSR4.

I'm on Nvidia, but I still would have liked to see 1080p covered by Tim with this. FS3 Performance @1080p is unusable, but I bet it's actually passable with this INT8 model... and probably still better than FS3 Quality at that res.

Love it - community (modders, tweakers) is the best, that leak proved that FSR4 is possible on RDNA2/3.

Now: your move AMD.

At this point they should probably just enable the support across the older cards, and recommend to just knock it down from quality to balance...since FSR4 on balanced likely looks better than 3 on quality anyway.

The 9070XT is still good value in the market.

Works great on Steam Deck as well, at lower resolutions. Unlike FSR 3, which looks pretty terrible in most games at such low res.

AMD really should push this out publicly.

It's the same DLSS 3/4 situation where you go up a version number and at the same time go down from quality/balanced to balanced/performance to get back your frames from the increased performance hit but at the same time get a better picture than on the upper quality setting from the previous version.

From my personal experience is not that impressive in handheld mode on Switch 2. At least not in Hitman 3.

It would be pretty hard for you to be impressed by DLSS if Google AI is correct in sourcing that Hitman 3 handheld mode does not use DLSS at all.
