Yes, and I know some of them... Many are very unhappy and not just them but the MLG community as a whole in social channels where we communicate. The gameplay is nothing like Halo or resembles little of it... with drastic changes.... Many fans and pros have lodged complaints but 343 is not listening on the major issues, only the bare little. Like a previous thread was called on here "343 shits on fans includes ADS and sprint" before a mod changed it, because we have been vocal as fans to 343. I don't want to be an ass but it sure feels like it and feels like they are driving Halo to the dirt e.g., Halo 4 mp and ruining Halo's essence.
You're trying to tell me that you personally know some of the pro Halo gamers that 343 hired specifically for the development of this game and that they don't like the very game that 343 hired them to work on to make sure that everything was good for competitive Halo. That is literally exactly what it is. It functions identically to zooming in other Halo games but with a new skin and added too all weapons.Except... it isn't...
So basically you're simply proving what he was saying. To quote Biker19.
Go take a look at what happened with Halo 4's online multiplayer population after it was turned into COD (shown here). Then come back & tell us that.
The narrative now is that if 343i adheres to a more traditional Halo formula (or at least a more original formula) then the online population will remain like it did with 3. I'm not sure that is ever going to happen. If I asked you whether you think one day Call of Duty will lose its financial, popular, and cultural dominance, you would say yes. If you can concede that then you can entertain the possibility that we might be in a post-Halo gaming world where the game moves units and reviews well, but fails to compel audiences post-release.
UT4 is also showing weapon pickups and it greatly helps newer players. I think it's fine as long as it can be turned off in competitive matches.
The guy in the video summed it up at the start, dont judge it yet, just wait and give it a go before going off the deep end.
I'm still very sceptical. Looks like something I don't want to play.
I hate this arguement. Do I really have to play every game before I can judge it? Do I have to watch every movie before I judge it? No, because based on what I've seen from previews I'm allowed to judge it and can share my opinions on that matter. People said the same before Halo 4 was out and guess what happened...
You should have seen some predictions that were being made in HaloGAF, before Halo 4 came out. Turns out the sceptical people were right all along.
So if a lot of people addressed the speed problem in the beta or the sprint, would 343 actually change it?
Or is it just one of those betas where you're just seeing how it plays?

Seems fine to me, might be an issue with the 60fps playback in your browser.
RIP Halo.
Halo 5 MP will go the way of 4, very short lived. 343 refuses to listen to the fans especially the MLG community who time and time again have let them know what Halo fans want. That video does not look like Halo at all.
I undestand they want to change things but it should be subtle without changing the game e.g., Halo 3. I was listening to Podcast Beyond and Greg and Colin expressed hope marquee games wont change much both saying "If it's not broke dont fix it". Halo 5 barely resembles Halo 3 multiplayer.
And Why the fuck are they notifying everyone of the power weapons?
The beauty of Halo is its simplicity and being difficult for someone to be skilled but accessible to anyone to play at the same time. A major key is its strategy in power weapon control where teamwork and thought is a major factor in timing the weapons and keeping track of who will be setting up for them. Now when the announcement comes in, it will turn to a fragfest at the weapon's location decreasing the high level of strategy Halo is known for.
Absolute baffling at 343'a ignorance. The MLG community for years have been telling them what Halo fans want and they refuse to listen. Why can't Halo be Halo like COD is COD?
I will never say a beta is a marketing tactic after the disastrous launches EA had last year and Driveclub and MCC this year. Turns out the MCC badly needed a beta.Well it's a year out from release so I'm guessing it will be a proper beta rather than a marketing tactic.
I very much doubt they'll listen to idiots spouting 'omgz halo of duty' nonsense mind you.

Yes, you do. You can have opinions on how you think these games/movies are but you definitely can't judge it for yourself if you haven't tried them.

Do you have to eat a pile of shit to know you wouldn't like the taste? Legitimate question.
Except for when it covers your screen, has huge muzzle effects, and animation transitions.
It is not the same. The cosmetic differences change its function.
I think long time Halo fans are not what they care about at this point. They need new blood, so they have to evolve the gameplay more. Make it more appealing to a casual audience.

Is this the Waypoint forum?
I don't have to. Look up the definition of "judging".
Guns seemed to kill just as fast as it's been in all Halo games, rewarding precision and landing headshots. It's nothing like COD where just spraying the body is a near instant kill.
I don't think the TTK is that much higher if at all, the players the guy is playing against in the video look very very very bad making him look better.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138468937&postcount=547Can someone explain to me the absolute issue with sprinting? I don't see the problem and I'd love to know.

I see it as more of an issue for smaller maps, and the more competitive crowd though. I've noticed a few in here already saying how they missed sprint while romping about on some bigger maps in the MCC.
They fixed two of the biggest complaints people had with 4, loadouts and ordinance. Halo 5 has the same core gameplay as previous Halo games, it features the return of balanced starts and weapon control, the game is literally more Halo than 4, all they did was add in new mobility options and make it so all weapons can scope.
So Halo 1-3 had sprint, prone, fast directional jumps, vaulting, fast TTK on automatic weapons, scope/zoom on all weapons, beeps, spartan chatter and medals for almost everything you do? Okay.
Halo 5 and Halo 1-3 have a lot of differences in weapon TTK and use, mobility and presentation. Those are the core mechanics of a shooter.
Whether or not these changes are for the better or not, claiming the core gameplay has not been changed is delusional up the wazoo.
I'm cool with Halo MP being faster and with ADS.
That map is crap though. Generic futuristic design, not like Halo's normal style. The game play still reminds me of Halo, the map itself doesn't.
AW with Titanfall, maybe. Tell me where is ordinence and loadouts. Pretty big COD staples right there. Also COD invented boosting now? Give me a break. Where is descoping in COD? Where is penalty for hip fire in Halo 5? Seems like people are grasping at straws to make COD/H5 comparisons but their arguments hold no water.Really bro? you cant see any similarities at all?
This looks like Quake 3 and Titanfall had a baby. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not really Halo in my humble opinion. It's certainly a game that I would like playing on PC with a mouse and keyboard, but perhaps it's a bit too fast to be as enjoyable as Halo 2 or 3 on consoles.
Beta impressions will be interesting.
