Fair enough, some people just go to break stuff and cause trouble. Don't like that all. Keep it peaceful and large.

Love all the people on the sidelines waiting to watch them fight

Police respnse was kinda harsh imo. You'll always have some of the black bloc covering their faces. Escalation on this small corridor could go bad

Well, so? Selectively applying laws and guidelines just because? The moment you show up completly disguided in black clothing you don't really care for a peaceful protest. Poor residents, couldn't care less for the majority of people being stopped right now.

Not sure why you'd allow the protest if you stop it after 500m anyway. This has been known for weeks and hamburg police is known for escalating shit.

As you see in the stream now shit eventually popped off with police barging into the protest.

So basically either forbid every kind of protest or let it be a FFA without rules or laws. Amazing.

People have a right to protest and register those events. Be it with reason and no harm intended or organizations like Antifa or NPD. They are idiots, idiots with rights.

"Why allow and stop it right away?" Really? This is worse than prohibiting every kind of demonstration in the first place and have 5000 or howmany people in the whole city doing stupid stuff?

Considering the whole thing was titled "Welcome to hell" I find it hard to sympathize with the protesters. Clashes with the police is exactly what they want.

Apparently did some also attack an ambulance, real class act

A friend of mine and her kids moved to her parents outside of Hamburg for a couple of days. Way too stressful for them.

Police had no issue implementing a no protest zone from tomorrow morning on and we've had plenty of peaceful protests these past few days and this 'welcome to hell' protest has been announced as the biggest black bloc ever for the last few weeks.

Police knew the riots were coming and still let this particular protest go ahead.

They literally declined camps with sleeping tents but let this protest go ahead?


Anyway, stream has it all popping off now with rioters creating street barriers

Like 30 minutes ago there was a stereotypical hippie, maybe in his 50s, dye shirt and all doing the double middle fingers in front of police and getting hit by a water cannon. Someone had to have clipped that. Anyone seen it? Looked like a comedy sketch.

You guys are about to see the worst, leader of the world: post-coup unelected President Michel Temer, from Brazil. Trump is an angel compared to him.

3% approval rating, dozens of ministers charged for corruption, he is also being accused of receiving bribes after he was caught on tape in a secret, off the record meeting with a Brazilian billionaire. Next day one of his last few supporters was caught getting a 500 thousand (150k usd) in cash, which was supposed to be a WEEKLY BRIBE PAYMENT for THIRTY YEARS.

The prosecutor is aiming at him but he might not even be investigated because the parliament supports him (sad but true). Today the leader of the old opposition (he lost the last election for president by 2%), who is now pro-government, also got a free pass after sending his cousin to get another 500k in cash (from the same guy). They cancelled the procedure to remove him from the senate... They are both protecting each other so that none of them get in jail (soon, or ever).

What a joke Brazil has become.

So stupid to have this meeting in Hamburg. They have a long tradition of heavy protests there and now they're holding the summit literally on the home turf of a pretty militant scene.
The police organization Could be improved, too. They have the area where the demo took place locked off from tomorrow, not closing that down today already was pretty naive. The police press guy didn't look good when a reporter pressed him on that error.
