I mean, we don't have one. From what I've seen, though I admit that I may be ignorant, the minor black population that we have assimilates pretty normally. And many of them are first/second generation Canadians that have emigrated from Africa, rather than... um... what you're thinking of... African-Americans.

It could be worse, I guess. Sir John A McDonald, Pierre Trudeau, Terry Fox, and people such as that, instead of Celine Dion, Mike Meyers, and The Barenaked Ladies. I don't mind Wayne Gretzky being up there because he HAS done a lot for the country in terms of sport and unity (for what it's worth). But Don Cherry's nomination is bewildering. Then again, so is his popularity.
