Nah, I agree with HiRes. I'm a BIG Cudi fan and he's not a "great" rapper at all and as even as a crazed fan I can admit that.

Edit: lol oops.

While I don't agree with him, I do understand how one could enjoy albums by shitty rappers...

Now that this thread has been christened by this GIF, we can proceed as usual.
Flocka is shit and I can only expect Flockavelli is too.

Flockavelli transcends Mr. Flocka Flame's abilities as a rapper, and is a beautiful album of wonderful music. In fact, I'm going to listen to it right now.

I used to think B was funny but he's just gotten old. Yeah swag yeah you're weird as fuck yeah based god yeah cooking and hoes blah blah blah... if you're going straight mentally challenged comedy raps they gotta be consistently funny, and he's not... He's just a stupid attention whore with no substance

Eminem and Royce on Juan Epstein! YES! YES! YEEEES!

Basically a 70 min interview with the two. Listening now, these are usually fantastic, the Cam & Vado and Jay ones were of note in the past, always some crazy facts you've never heard of get brought up. Rosenberg as an interviewer >>>

So, I just found out that there is a Relapse 2: Refill, yeah, not Relapse: Refill, but Relapse 2: Refill.

Not half bad either, a few stupid songs with the accent, but much, much better than Relapse. Has a bunch of unreleased songs.

Was this not in stores? I can't find it anywhere except the person on Twitter that sent it to me...

Just curious, how can you love most of his albums, but think he couldn't rap for shit?

The same way I'm listening to the new Cyhi track the entire fucking day and I consider him to be a crappy rapper (I consider Pac bad only on a technical level).

There's a lot more to a record than flow (but it can't hurt if the flow is good), and Pac has a lot of other stuff going for him.

Jeru the Damaja is a good example, I don't think I ever listened to a more boring and uninteresting rapper in my life, yet I LOVE his first 2 albums.

Around that time there were a ton of Re-*insert name here* Em mixtapes coming out. Some looked legit, some were obvioulsy slapped together by someone. I THINK that the Refill one was an official UK release and never came out here.

Refill's just a couple of additional tracks released shortly after Relapse. I do remember seeing some copies at Target awhile ago. This is the actual cover.

This reminds me that I haven't listened to Relapse yet.

Refill or Relapse 2 could have been so much better (same could be said of Relapse too) if he just stopped the fucking accent. Relapse had better production, Refill sounded unpolished but he goes nuts on some of the songs. Also he needs to rhyme in that voice minus the accent for best Em.

That new Nas is just so good. It just sounds like he took his time and put effort into the song and its meant to be smack you in the face when you hear it. Please let the rest of the album be like that. Also do another collabo with Jay Z. I loved Black Republicans.

I am going to record myself rapping about nothing but diamonds, guns, and weed over some of your beats.

lmao, that would actually be hilarious

speaking of shitty rappers... i listened to port of miami today (new car with a cd only system) which my brother once gave me for bday...and its such a brilliant record. i have no idea why i started to dislike and ignore that fat fuck after that.

Finally Famous is surprisingly good. Dance (A$$) is hot as fuck.
But the second half of the album is pretty weak, a lot of garbage.

Yeah, I agree with the both of you regarding Cudi.

If he could gear up and enunciate as well as get better lyrics he could be excellent.

Production is usually top notch in his work, too.

weren't there some promised Cudi projects coming this summer? I can't remember.

This Royce/Em/Juan Epstein interview is so good.

GOAT Pac vs. Biggie discussions, Royce stealing Boom from CNN. Royce getting the call to work on 2001 when he was still living with his mom and them playing the original version of Xxplosive featuring Royce, amazing. Em talking drug addictions during the creation of 2001, Royce talking people not wanting to fuck with him in case they lose the possibility of an Em verse. Rosenberg putting Em on the spot for "Em murdered you on your own shit" and Ether vs. Takeover. Good shit all around.

Em cosigning Cole too as the one person he's really checking out out of all the new cats.

Big Sean - I Do It Music Video. I'm only halfway through FF and it's really good so far.

Yeah. The 2 Be Continuum rock project (formerly named Wizard) and a hip-hop free mixtape entitled A Man Named Scott.

He probably smoked too much and forgot...shit...

spindashing said:
He quit smoking, lol.

Also, he did release a song off of the rock project called Perfect Is The Word.

I didn't like it...

That track was garbage...I hope that rock project is a one and done type of project and goes back to A Kid Named Cudi style.

I hope A Man Named Scott has nothing to do with that rock garbage at all, but it's looking unlikely if this is where CuDi's style is headed. I just want some honest hip hop, that's all. I've expressed my dismay at CuDi's direction before, and my opinion hasn't changed now. Gonna go listen to some MotM1 & Up, Up and Away to convince myself it's all going to be okay with cudder.

Ive said it before, but its becoming a lot more clear why Plain Pat and Cudi split. Cudi's head is in some weird place right now.

Well Cudi already confirmed A Man Named Scott would be "hip-hop" for his fans on twitter.

I still have high hopes for it. I honestly want to hear his work now that he's not smoking anymore.

Perfect is the Word doesn't count since it was made eons ago...

If you can't crack a smile at a Lil B song I don't know what's wrong with you.
What? I thought that stupid meme died after his Bin Laden comments. Stop trying to resurrect it, let it die.

After the let-down of Man on the Moon 2, and that track from the rock project, im not sure Cudi is something i care about. I loved A Kid Named Cudi/Man on the Moon, i went to his concert right before MOTM2 came out, so thankfully not much new shit was there. I just hope MOTM2 was a product of his smoking and the rock project is a one and done.

I'm sure it is if it's true that he really did give up smoking. I know he quit doing blow and stuff, but I didn't think he'd give up the mary.

Listening to the finally famous album right now and i honestly liked the vol3 mixtape that i heard today more.
