There are few good songs on the new Lupe tape but there are some real bad ones and some old ones.


I would love to hear Lupe on some more Jazzy type beats like Love life and death in San Fran or whatever it was called.

It was recorded around the same time. Lupe recorded a bunch of shit around then. Pretty sure Joaquin Phoenix was recorded around that time too. People pile shit on Lasers(deservedly) but he was recording some killer songs at the same time.

Yeah, best concert i have ever been to. Chris Brown got on stage during NERD's set and was dancin and shit. Lupe killed his set, brought out the chick who sang Hip Hop Saved My Life. Rihanna was looking fine. Ye totally killed it, the crowd went crazy when he did journey's Dont Stop Believing, especially during the part that mentioned Detroit.

Is there a list somewhere of what songs are pre and post-Lasers? Because I'm just attributing this (beyond SLR) based on perceived quality of raps.

The first few tracks have some really solid raps, some best on the tape, but the production is just mind numbing.

While MBDTWISTEDTEA is certainly comparable to MGS4, in terms of hype I compare it GTA4. Reviews were almost unanimously stellar across the board thanks to a massive unstoppable hype train that plowed right through everyone's common sense. And then people sat down and experienced it and the hype train derailed and went into some field somewhere to burn while it's passengers died a horrible death. And yet some people still deluded themselves into thinking it was enjoyable. We're here for you, it's ok to admit you have a problem.

It doesn't deserve AOTY, thats why its not nominated.

A Piece of Strange is easily one of the best concept albums like this.. probably my favorite album ever. Kno - Death is Silent is pretty dope too.
