Anyone think I should check out Killer Mike's Pl3dge? I was a huge fan of I Pledge II btw.

God In the Building is one of my favorite songs ever

Uhh, because his album sold comparable amounts to the others in the Album of the Year category and FAR outranked them in terms of ratings yet it wasn't even nominated. If you think winning Rap Album of the Year, an award that wasn't even deemed big enough to be part of the actual ceremony is good enough...lol

Im not too worried about that. Rap hardly ever wins album of the year. If rap album of the year isnt big enough to be part of the ceremony then why would he win album of the year or even be nominated. Grammy's are not geared towards this music.

Sales equals artistic merit? Who cares. I am sure he is happy as hell to get a Grammy, no matter when it was given.

So Killer Mike makes one of your most favorite songs, you are a huge fan of Pledge II but asking should you check out Pl3dge? Does not compute.

after losing best new artist nominee lol

That would have been his winning expression too.

Also, dude can't even clean up the unibrow for the Grammy's? C'mon son.

Well isn’t this dope? Instead of keeping the overflow of tracks that didn’t make The Marathon Continues, Nipsey’s decided to leak 10 of them as part of a special X-Tra Laps collection. Y’all can keep checking the dopehouse as we’ll be updating when the songs drop each hour or you can just wait until we package up the entire thing and grab that. Either way, hit the jump for some new music.

Favorite album of all time. Check out more from it.
Going through the entire album and up to Yesterday so far. Really enjoying it and a lot of the tracks' content are hitting close to home so the album is resonating more with me. The production is really good too.

The only track that completely kills it for me so far is "You". That hook. :/

Edit: "Me" Fuck. So good.

Love "me". "You" grew on me. I was working as a waiter when the album came out so I could relate and it was just a fun song. But it's definitely one of those love or hate it tracks. I'd kill for high quality mp3 of the live version of "shoulda known", as much as I love that song, the live version they played at a concert last year was fucking insane. The live version of Music Box with piano is amazing too. They really need to release a live album.
Wild Wild Horses is another that grew on me, really hated it at first but it's one of my favorites now. And of The Waitress too.

Y'know, that 50 Cent mixtape ain't so bad. I was down on it after the first listen but there's always a time in my week for some ignant music, and this is it for now.

Mecklemore Is My Favorite Wrapper
Guarantees is one of the few tracks I can recite every word to, Shoulda Known is a track that every guy with an addiction to fucked up women can relate to, and Your Glass House is depression and alcoholism to a T.

The more stupid shit Lupe does, the more I dislike the Cool. The more that happens, the more Lemons is becoming my favorite album. Probably not as much as TSSLP, but still.

Check "You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having" next. That and Lemons are my favourite Atmosphere albums.

An iPod and a MIDI keyboard is a(n Odd Future) studio now.

Don't forget the mbp running Logic to the right there, lol.

If anything's really coming of that though, hype.

Fear Not Failure Video Series Pt. 2

Just remembered I should probably be pumped for Fear Not Failure.

Fear not failure's sounding alright. His flow is there, but the borrowed beats/tracks always catch a tape a few bad marks, imo. I hope dude switches it up with the rest of the tracks.

Not gonna lie, have had some Rocky songs on rotation for the past week. The only good beats are Palace, Bass and Wassup, all coincidentally produced by Clams Casino.

He's still a garbage rapper, but I understand the appeal. I usually can't stand most of the Houston sound where you take a garbage rapper, slow it down in places, etc. etc. He may be from Harlem but dudes sound is like 99% south. Dude should relinquish any association to the east coast. Though regrettably, I'm getting Dipset vibes. Charisma over substance kind of thing.

Big 10 is really good. It almost made my top 10 last year. Stop Crying is one of the best songs of last year.

siddx, if your favorite album is an Atmosphere album I gotta know; how hard was it to tell your dad that you're a sheep fucker?
