Supreme Clientele while awesome, has absolutely nothing in common with the vintage Wu-Tang Clan sound...JEKKI said:sorely missing No Said Date.
I rank NSD along with Liquid Swords & 36 Chambers. Not better than, but definitely up there.

You're absolutely right, except for Liquid Swords being the best solo album, as that would be Cuban Linx.Prentice said:While Liquid Swords is the best solo Wu album, I really think Ghostface is the best member of the clan. The detail he tells in his stories is really unparalleled. He's also probably the most consistent, original and creative.

If I may interject my first 6 were all released before 2000. :lolJay Sosa said:Well he was talking about 90's classic so you're both disqualified.
I'd say(inpo):
ODB - Return to.. (BROOKLYN ZOOO)
GZA - Liquid Swords
GF - Iron Man
MM - Tical (though it didn't live up to the expectations at all back then)
WTC - Double Album
Rae - Cuban Linx (Top 5 overall)
Inspectah Deck - No fucking clue what the name is, bought it last year and it's nice*
*Uncontrolled Substance
Listened intensively to the Smoke DZA tape yesterday and the production is on point (completely handled by KRIT, one track by Ski Beatz I think) and the dude can really spit. Can't believe how many good, free music we get this year. I really have a hard time keeping up..

Jay Sosa said:If you like Carter 3 you should love Carter 1 (and 2 of course), imho Wayne's best album. If you like that you have a catalogue of about 20 brilliant CMR records to choose from.
If you like "Til the casket drops" you'll love their previous one "Hell hath no fury" You can also dl the excellent "Road to til the casket drops" mixtape for free.
But if I was you I'd go to amazon.com, look on the page for the albums you have and check what other people bought.
My favorite albums while I'm driving at the moment is the LE$ tape "Beautiful Struggle" and Drake's "Thank me later" album, very chill and you can sing along :lol
Thanks a lot I'll check those out!Jay Sosa said:If you like Carter 3 you should love Carter 1 (and 2 of course), imho Wayne's best album. If you like that you have a catalogue of about 20 brilliant CMR records to choose from.

Distant relatives came out after Til the casket drops. Unless you mean purchase chronologyopticalmace said:Could someone give me a CD suggestion?
I bought these 3 recently and like them a lot:
Lil Wayne - The Carter 3
Nas + Damian Marley - Distant Relatives
Clipse - Till the Casket Drops (this being the newest, still getting used to it, but digging it)
So I like those and want to get a 4th CD for a long road trip coming up this weekend. Any suggestions? I already have Cuban Linx 2 which is awesome. Thanks.
Yeah I bought them all in the last 3 weeks. :lolLOZLINK said:Distant relatives came out after Til the casket drops. Unless you mean purchase chronology
Foreign Exchange, a duo consisting of emcee/singer Phonte and producer Nicolay is preparing their third album, Authenticity for release on October 12, 2010. The title may be fitting for the group who released their Connected debut in 2004, initially as a side-project of beats and rhymes recorded and shared over the Internet. The North Carolina vocalist and the Dutch producer have subsequently met and continued the group through 2008's Leave It All Behind.

This shit is just... soooo good. I really don't know how else to describe it. It's a the group's sophomore album and it's not trying to be much more than just raw, boom bap era sickness - and it does it to damn near perfection, if not, absolute perfection. I usually can't stand posse albums because I never like all the group members involved, so the experience is always uneven. This, however, doesn't suffer from those ills due to every member bringing it lyrically and some raaaaaaaw production. There's songs on this shit I'm seriously not sure I'll ever get sick of. This is an absolute MUST listen for any hip hop fan.

My favorite track 'Can't Save' I can't find on Youtube - that's been my 'Day in the Life (Eternia/Moss)' for this entire week.
