^^^ All that other shit aside, i actually really like it after giving it a few listens, kinda pissed you beat me to the punch, as my mixtape is about 50% done right now. But im producing the majority of the tracks right now, so its taking a lot longer than i wanted it to.

I know the feeling bro! I've been putting this tape together since like September last year. I see all my rivals and colleagues releasing tapes and videos and I feel like I'm getting left behind!

Don't worry though, as I'm sure you don't need to be told, focus on getting it out and at the level of quality you want, and it'll still be received well by others in the end.

Im not a producer, not much of one anyways. Im basically doing live instruments(Guitar,piano) then putting a beat to them. The project im doing is really personal, and it would feel weird to use someone elses shit for it. I have about 5 tracks done or close to being done,with 5 more to go.

I like it. Good voice and a nice sense of humor too, which I like in rappers. Production is pretty good on the tracks. 8 Bit Bitches = favorite. Hydro City Fire is my second favorite. Sampling Sonic 3? Shiiiiit.

Edit: Lucid Dream gets honorable mention too.

ive been thinking long and hard about trying to organize another one, but this time with a lot more structure... ie, draw up a framework for the project first, with deadlines, etc. and then, instead of just asking for beats and emcees randomly, assign producers to emcees specifically... it could happen?

The production in Man on the Moon II was one of it's only saving graces, in my opinion. It wasn't as spacey as the first, but it captures a more dark atmosphere (aside from Erase Me).

I have to say that Maniac is an awesome track though.

pump the brakes here. for one thing, Res the highest poster here (i believe) and not for just shit-talking, but putting in work like finding excellent mixtapes with links/pics/streams etc as well as doing write-ups about them, promoting small/local acts from all over. i personally listen to/keep way more than i post on...but to be fair, you'd know this about dude if you did post here actively.

and to be fair, pimping your shit = asking for feedback. it's part of that process. this is indeed the right place to put it, but try to see it from res' perspective: if this was a JRPG thread in the gaming side, and one guy posted links/info on rare games from lesser-known regions/creators, i think it'd be fair for him to voice his opinion that you should take part in an active community more than just hocking what you came up with in Fighter Maker. that's actually pretty standard with any community, for not wanting to just create an environment of viral efforts seeking test subjects. it's a shame you took it as bullying though, cause he's basically saying he'd like to see you around & talk more hip-hop with you.
