The only dudes that turn a soul sample into a experience.

This would be dope. Put druggies 3 on there too.

Rashad had an album last year.

You love makonnen tho.

What? The album reviewed well and sold better than expected.

I legitimately thing i can out manage these fools.

I'm saying that beyond Oxymoron and These Dayz...dude cooked up something special. The most logical thing to do is let dude drop after Rock. Fuck it...go No Limit and flood the streets with work. I don't understand why this group still getting treated like weed carriers and by the way HERE'S KENDRICK LAMAR. It's like if Baby focused hard on Juvenile and gave bootleggers BG's album.

So yall mean to tell me that Kendrick dropped a "critically acclaimed" album this year....and no fucking tour to go with the success?

I don't think there are any possible arrangements you can have to make tracks like How Much A Dollar Cost and Momma sound hot live, and I say that as a fan of those tracks and the CD.

Alright, King Kunta, i, maybe Hood Politics and Wesley's Theory are the only tracks that work in a concert setting.

Other than those? Just keep playing that MAAD City man

I get the impression he's trying to secure a decent band to take on the road. Can't take the people who did the album since they're touring their own music.

From what I've seen Alright, I and King Kunta are getting crowds hype as fuck. Hood Politics works without a band too. Band wise I can see These Walls, Wesley's Theory, Complexion, and You Ain't Gotta Live working live too. I don't think that's a problem. Not every live song is turn up at most hour+ long concerts...

i know way more white ppl that like this album than black ppl.

At this point i just home he comes back soon with an album of hard shit. Like a surprise drop.

Before TPAB everyone wanted a GKMC 2, or a control verse Kendrick album. But TPAB had a strong jazz influence that toned it down. I always felt that Kendrick was at his best when he mixed bangers with his own style of commentary. Maybe the next album will bring that fire back... or maybe he'll sidestep us and evolve like a pokemon yet again

TPAB seems like it was the album Kendrick really wanted to make. Not that he isn't (or shouldn't be) proud of his previous work, but I really feel like he and his people knew GKMC was what he needed to get his "foot in the door" so to speak, and TPAB was a more focused project.

I don't mind, nor do I worry what direction he takes next, he's already proven he has the reach.

My feelings on TPAB are pretty similar to Domino's, but I do think a tour with the right band would work for Kendrick. Could be dope for his fans.

i's interlude followed by mortal man is prolly one of the best rap songs I've heard in years tbh

strong messages in there whether you agree with them or not. outside of a few tracks though I find the album intolerable

But I also see how appreciated it will probably be years from now.

The TDE shit is gonna look super bad if it comes out that Kendrick's deal was garbage. It's kind of one of those things that can be super low key and nobody would ever notice or question.

Like just imagine Top owns all the masters and turns into a mogul 5 years from now after robbing Kendrick, pushing a new label consisting of Trinidad Jame$, Machine Gun Kelly, Mistah FAB and Jay Rock.
Would be a tragedy if Kendrick was getting robbed by these fucking clowns.

At the same time, he should be planning his own empire like Drake and Cole. Doesn't seem interested in that tho.

Also, TPAB is still AOTY, eeeeaaaasily. Fucking great album. His best work so far.

Mortal Man and How much a Dollar Cost are classics, Momma too.

TPAB is like, Kendricks, Rubber Soul or Revolver. Really excited in whatever direction he goes next.

Agreed. Though there are a few other spots I'm into (like I think Alright is a really dope track).
