Loveland? Don't you mean kissland...

Tell your friends is trilogy abel imo... that's like his kotf shit.

New album is good, Ive had a few of the songs awhile.

Girls born in the nineties changed to acquainted was odd but you can see the change in the tone after that song.

NYT has a good intereview w Abel. Sound slime a OG Stan did the intervew. Asked some really good questions.

My bad lol.

But yeah the album is ok. As it been stated on here it's different from his previous work. It's unfortunate that Abel couldn't put out some more of his Trilogy type of songs since it could actually work with mainstream. As far as "Tell Your Friends" being his KOTF shit....nah. King of the Fall made me feel like I had a stogie and dress shoes with the white tips, while Tell Your Friends felt like a typical "I got bitches" song. It doesn't have that same flare.

Damn PD why don't you go hang out with ya boy, lift his spirit up or something?

My brother showed me a video of a pretty attractive French black chick who responded to one of his views positively, saying she'd like to talk to him and that she thought he was cute. Kent never responded to her lmao.

I wish DS2 had more variety. I get thats his sound but the album felt like one long ass song with a beat switch up here and there. It was a good album no doubt.

DS 2 isn't tops for me, but it's probably in my top 5. #1 for me is either Yen Lo or If You're Reading This.

Also, I didn't realize Future was 31. So dude didn't blow up until he was like 28. Kinda cool to see when some dudes are fading by 30, Future still on the rise.

If You're Reading This has just gotten so much play for me, especially with How Bout Now added as a bonus track. Can still listen to it without really skipping anything.

Summertime '06 and Yen Lo are close in that regard, though. I'd like to say Mr. Wonderful since I think it's a really good album, but I haven't been replaying it as much as the other three.

Know Yourself might be my song of the year, and there is a lot of good shit on IYRTITL, but you can still hear that it's been thrown together in a rush and not a project that follows a big concept.

And while I love DS2 and fucks with a bunch of other albums.. nothing comes close to what Kendrick and his team did with TPAB. It's not music I hear on a daily basis, but I feel like I gotta acknowledge all the ideas and creativity that went into this. Besides, the Tupac/Kendrick thing might be my 'rap song moment of the year' and that album also gave us the Alright video.

I've listened to a lot of music so far this year, and I've got way, way more to listen to still, but I can't imagine anything topping TPAB.

Finally, Nibel making sense again. I love it. Thought I lost you.

If You're Reading This has a lot of corny tracks tbh. There are some tracks that have some staying power tho.

Definitely won't make my Top 10.

I only heard If You're Reading This once...and don't have the desire to bump it again. It's not a bad album...it's just...sighs...meh.

If You're Reading This has grown on me a lot. In terms of bangers it's his best work. 10 Bands, Know Yourself, Legend, Energy, 6God, you can't beat that shit. The problem is that the mid-tempo / r&b / pop anthem tracks are lacking compared the two albums before it. That's where it feels like a collection of b-sides.

But I'll admit I'm a full blown stan and enjoy pretty much everything he does.

Jeezy - GOD (Prod. by Southside and TM88). Album out Nov 13th. *horn sound* DS2 in stores now.

Cole brings out Drake and Jay-Z at his last tour stop. Drake drops a new verse and performs Back to Back and Know Yourself. Drake's performance game is top notch.

What's this new Lupe y'all keep talking about?
Nice. Always seems like Cole puts on a good show.

Agreed. Now & Forever is pretty boring as far as his non-rap tracks go.

I like My Side, though.

Pretty much how I feel. Legend - Know Yourself is heat rocks and then when it slows up the songs just get crummy in general.

When was this not the case b

2015 brehs

Great music for everybody

Yeah, I remember a lot of us in 2014 and now we have tons of great music. Big shoutout to the boy Vince Staples for dropping an incredible debut project as well since this doesn't happen too often.

I mean us Frank Ocean fans are still getting fucked but 2015 was fantastic so far

I'll be happy to continue waiting patiently for Frank to release his record as long as it's good. 2015 overall has been a great year for music, but the R&B genre has been a weak link imo. Abel let us down. New Miguel was just okay...underwhelming after Kailedoscope Dream. The-Dream's new album was set for a July release but never appeared. Jeremih's album has been delayed since last year. D'Angelo was last year. I guess there's still been lots of quality underground stuff, though.

1. Summertime '06
2. Days With Dr. Yen Lo
3. TPaB
4. DS2
5. TBD (would probably be The Good Fight if I had to pick right now. Earl and Bronson right up there too)

New Miguel was super cheesy and tryhard, more so than usual for these rnb dudes.

Tetsuo & Youth would actually be really high up for me too, probably top 10 for sure. I think people been sleeping on how good it was cuz it came out in like January or whatever and then shit started dropping in spring real quick.

R and B been on the decline for ages. I blame the death of Neo Soul to be honest, because that movement was thriving hard. So many gems out of that era it wasn't even funny.

Glen Lewis, Jill Scott, Musiq, Dwele, Maxwell, etc.

It's better than Lasers, that's about as much good as I can say about it.

I would say TPAB and Summertime '06 are favorites for this year so far. After those two at the top I would have to sort it through. DS2 w/o the bonus tracks is top 10.

Wow that's pretty damn impressive.
Goddamn man. I still think it's dope Cole is eating so well. Just hoping he can drop an album I care about :/

I listened to like 5 tracks off it a lot for a few months and those are still on rotation sort of. But other than that I didn't care for it. Definitely looking forward to Views From The 6. Expecting it to be more focused and hopefully it has some better downtempo tracks along with the bangers.

Still got 4 more months in 2015 😔

Glad I'm not the only one feeling the list bug already...

1. DS2
2. Summertime 06
3. I Don't Like Shit
4. Days with Yen Lo
5. 56 Nights
6. Pimp a Butterfly

...something like that. Solid year for all types of rap.
