Never listened to any Blu before. Where should I start?
Below the Heavens. One of my favorite albums of the 00's

Don't just listen to Below the Heavens (though it is his best). Jesus, Give Me My Flowers While I Can Smell Them and Her Favorite Colo(u)r are all great albums as well.

Feeling the same as a few of you about What A Time To Be Alive. Sounds good, but ultimately I've had my fill of some of these songs already. I didn't really have high expectations, just wanted some bangers. Even something like Plastic Bag has a great beat and a pretty good chorus, but it is shallow and doesn't fit a need at all for me. I'm the Plug feels like a track I've heard this year numerous times and it has been done better. Nothing of worth in 30 for 30, it's a Drake song that is just the dude in the middle of the motions. No ambition, nothing to talk about, just crooning. Reminds me of the latter half of If You're Reading This in that it does absolutely nothing of worth. I still feel like Views will be better than '15 Drake.

Stand outs are Diamonds Dancing, Jumpman, Digital Dash, Scholarships, Big Rings (despite the obnoxious chorus).

Maaaan plastic bags is easily one of the best drake verses. Just on a melodic perspective its wavy as hell. Wish it was longer

And I hope Q comes through with more alchemist tracks. Break the bank was great

Below the Heavens is still a classic imo. But Blu has great tracks all over his other projects and mixtapes. Even though BTH is his best project overall, there's a lot more to his discography than that.

Like I was just listening to So(ul) Amazing part 1 earlier and I totally forgot about this track https://youtu.be/ryZ3959pcxg

How do you guys feel about NoYork?
I like it. Pretty underrated imo and I like that it's unique from Blu's other albums, but something about Blu on laid back soul/jazz beats is just too perfect so I don't rate it quite as highly as the two Exile albums or Her Favorite Colo(u)r.

Her Favorite Color is one of those albums that defines a specific period of my life. I love it. I remember initially being bummed by the limited rapping that's on the album but those instrumentals and movie samples...man. Even thinking about the album makes me feel kinda depressed but also nostalgic in a positive way.

I feel you, I love that album. Even with the instrumentals and movie samples, it still doesn't feel like there's a single second wasted on the album. I get a slightly melancholy, late night vibe from HFC and everything feeds perfectly into that. Just feels incredibly well realized and makes for a great listen when taken in as a whole.

I'll absolutely cosign Flowers and especially Her Favorite Colour.

It's okay. Can't imagine having a need to listen to that track anytime soon. Feeling really unmoved here.
What the fuck. Why would anyone want 38 Game tracks in 2015. There is no even half of those matter.

75% of Slime Season was in that leak batch. Now you understand why I've had the leaks in my on-the-go playlist for months. Metro Boomin and London on da Track are the perfect fit for Thugga.

Slime season is definitely fire. Gonna have to give barter another listen but I think I like ss more

Barter and Slime are pretty different and complement each other. Basically I would recommend any starter to listen to both and if they don't like either, Thugga just isn't for them.
