yo this is really nice - is her album like this? damn
this is on deck, thanks as always des
the real story here is what tyga thinks people watching him fuck is worth
bout to plat bloodborne tho #noragrets
never get tired of this track right here
I hope Ra stops comparing him to legends. Let an artist be himself or herself. I see the same thing happening to Tink, ie Timbo constantly comparing her to Aaliyah. Come on...
yeah, it does no one any favors, really - rap game equivalent of COD KILLER
Right there with you, with an additional thought. RA is a 40+ (like a 49 year old woman, he doesn't want to be telling people his age) year old white dude. A) He probably needs to recognize that while he has a lane, he's really in no position to talk about what hip hop needs, or what constitutes passion for the art form and B) The fact that a 40+ year old white dude is feeling it is probably a good sign that the 17 year olds on the come up aren't going to be feeling the dude at all.
i can agree to an extent, but what about Ra puts him in "no position to talk about what constitutes passion for the art form"? i absolutely agree that we should reject the idea of saving hip hop or the next big thing coming out of a niche lane like this, but the man's got the resume to speak on the craft itself
surely this'll be a non-disappointing sequel album
surely
Why aren't there more Buster Swords there?
wenis askin the tough questions in life
i for one bemoan this shot not being in a field of swords on some ol' unlimited blade works shit
Yeah so Q-Tip is my favourite rapper and The Neptunes my favourite producers so the OTHERtone radio show with Pharrell and Q-Tip was
everythingggg to me.
It's up on Connect on Apple Music.
They talked about the history of Tribe, the history of The Neptunes, first meetings, influences, etc and played some great music.
There was a Tribe mix, an old unreleased Tammy Lucas song from '96 when The Neptunes were still working with Teddy Riley, People's Instinctive Travels... 25th anniversary is coming up and Pharrell has a Bonita Applebum remix for it (the song that inspired him to produce in the first place), Tip played and talked about working with Jungle Brothers, Pharrell with Clipse and on and on.
They also played this new track:
Busta Rhymes - Master Race (Produced by Pharrell)
Just realised Meow the Jewels has PRINCE PAUL & DAN THE AUTOMATOR REMIXES ON IT!
goddamn, i love everything about this post - alright, itunes getting that reinstall
Paul could reunite the gravediggaz and make fisher price beats with rza
...why you gotta take these shots meng
Another snippet from the Q-Tip/Pharrell show...
The original version of Midnight by A Tribe Called Quest had verses from Ad-Rock and Pharrell on it!
for real? this shit needs to find its way out of the vaults!
holy shit, all the right names on it
also all the right gafhoppers disparaging shabazz too
just got two records in the mail: Red & Mef's Blackout! and The Roots' Game Theory
gonna have a couple beers tonight and jam out
I seriously think that Game Theory was The Root's best album to this very date. They went hard throughout that whole album. I need to pick that up and Rising Up for my vinyl collection.
damn, those 2 are high on my list - you get a good deal illa?
and +1 to Game Theory love, used to play it back that shit all the way through but still not as much as Tipping Point, personally
