For people saying Chief Keef and Wacka are bad, I implore you, if what they do is so easy, grab a Luger instros and make the same type of song.

The energy, choice of words, delivery, shit ain't easy. Cheif Keef got it goin to. I'm LTTP but I'm diggin the tape. He's got the new era crunk rap down.

He did pop shots at 5-0. What do you mean by "wanna be"?
didn't he only point a gun at them, didn't fire any shots =/ still, dudes a joke, cept no ones laughing.

Name drops on Kanye tweets usually exclude you from being a joke for a least a couple years. We'll see. I have high hopes. I see a lot of raw talent there. I'm curious to see what Kanye can cultivate out of it. Plus, he's from Chi, so I see a signing in the works.

Yeah, the signing's pretty certain, me thinks. Depending on the hype this next mix generates, maybe.

so work is still slowly (really slowly) progressing on my now 7 year long project, but since im bored and going through some old pics i felt like sharing a few horrible rough draft covers/logos from when it first went from a game/graphic novel story pitch to a multi-genre concept album

now just called Tyrant.fall, it's looking to be a 12 track album spanning hip hop, prog rock, folk, house (calmer more ambient shit)> I'd like to share some of the story but I feel like hearing it play out is a large part of the fun of concept albums. When I visualize the story its a futuristic but gritty setting with multiple character arcs intertwined but connected in that they all take place in the same metropolis. The setting itself is heavily influenced by things like Blade Runner, Moon, Children of Men, Total Recall, Dark City and to some extent Hal Life 2's city 17. Aurally a lot of influence from Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Johnny Cash, Cunninlynguists, Outkast, and Bone to name a few.

Still a lot of work to be done, and very little free time to do it (getting married+house shopping+work ect ect). Hope I'll get it finished by years end

Personally, I'm hoping for a Holo-Concert Tour filled with all the rappers who have passed on so that this new generation can bask in the presence of legends. Just think, BIG, Pun, Pac, and Big L can share a stage together in 2012.

We're in the future, ladies and gentlemen.

hahahaha

god i hope they don't do this ODB and others

I wouldn't be surprised if hologram music acts are here to stay. It might not be a huge thing right, but 10 years or so down the line, I can see plenty of acts from various genres getting the hologram treatment for old & new fans alike. It still sorta creeps me out in a "the future is really here" sorta way.

If the future means circle jerking to the songs of the past. Then yes, this is the future.

ugh, it's kinda gross though...i thought it was bad enough when we got shit like biggie's last album and "guests" that the artist may or may not've ever fucked with (worse with pac tracks, granted) trade verses with them - where's the line here? when GURU & Eazy are back to tell people obey ya thirst & hit up sprite@twitter nahmean ya'll gonna have some shit to answer for.

GAF-Hop... I ran into a moment of weakness. Trying to do the 90-day no porn thing and ended up at Rick's.... $140 down.. It was worth it, though.

Blackace, you should do some mini mixes. Like 30 minutes or less so you can do themes that might not have enough material for a full hour. Like I know you said you didn't think cypress hill had a full hours worth of material (even though I disagree) but 30 minutes would be easy. Or other artist specific mixes that might now have a deep catalog.

damn, is spaceghostpurrp bringing memphis back?
track is only good cus of it's reminiscence to that sound... it's not good in itself.
at least SGP knows his shit tho, name dropping most the og's near the end of the track

and i've always thought jgreen is wack as fuck since he first started. i saw him biting some shit early on on youtube, but i think his shit went harder than SGP's diss though.
