Hmmm. So I was thinking about CRS's idea, and a few others came into my head, and I'm thinking of getting a domain name and just messing around with some stuff. Anyone got any suggestions?
My initial thought was hiphopessentials.com, but it's taken. I could go with .net or something, but I thought I'd throw it out and see if anyone else has ideas.
EDIT: musthavehiphop.com is available. I quite like that.
Rawse says Gunplay will release a solo album.
I'll believe it when I see it, but it'd be cool if it happens.
I believe it, actually I recall Toku posting this interview. he said he'll start taking music more seriously now due to the reception on Cartoons and Cereal. Seems like it's more Gunplay's decision if he wants to or not. I doubt it'd get as big as a push as Meek Mill or Wale tho.Rawse says Gunplay will release a solo album.

Taken .How about hiphopchain.com and we can connect the albums with chains?
2 CHAAAAAAINNNNNS
What's the quality like on the LP's? I was a little disappointed by the CD's, but if the records are good I'd probably pick some up.Finally have Return of 4Eva's godlike album cover on an LP.

Going to grab musthavehiphop.com now, and can grab some more later.
What about like, a system that has the top 50 albums, and people can choose to upvote an album ahead of the one above it, or keep it the same. Then clicking on the album or something would provide a bunch of info, and could like chain off from there somehow?
I meant more along the lines of the packaging and case and stuff, I mean, shit I don't even own a record player.Dunno yet. Have to go back to work right now. Will give them a thorough listen later tonight/tomorrow. Don't have an a great record player though.
The way I'm thinking would kind of merge the two. A hip hop tree might be hard to do, if only because working all that information out would be hard as hell.I think there should be two separate uses of the site. The first can be nothing but information and the other can be the voting/rating of the albums.
If there could be an interactive "hip-hop tree", that would be awesome.
I have this question, what album would you consider the root of hip-hop? You could only choose one.

This is a great assessment as well. Glad you on board Blackace. We don't link up often, but when we're on point, we're on point (we're always on point).
This is fucking dope. Yeezy on fire. Now where is that new New God Flow track?
Agree that the video made me like it more, but I'm still not hyped for F&L2. I can't put faith in Lupe again. Also he and Chief Keef are the same person now.Lupe Fiasco - Around My Way [Freedom Ain't Free]

Cosigning all of this. It's grown on me, and I definitely think Kendricks ability to make hooks will take him further than others.Gunplay is pretty damn good on that track too.
Two dope tracks in a Cadillac.I cannot stop listening to Terrorist Threats or Mercy. Summer is starting off right this year.
