How the fuck can anyone be hyped for you finally releasing your music when you end your tweets with "ℒℴѵℯ."

Fuck outta here Jay Electronica.

And looking forward to Kendrick Lamar getting an Aftermath tattoo. WC artists can't resist the Aftermath allure, as self-destructive as it is.

Suicidal Thoughts was the first song that I heard by B.I.G., I thought the dude was insane when I heard that :lol

End of March, a lot of content coming from fellow gaffers and 2Pretty4Porno Crew. PM's will go out next week. I was very anal on hand picking the beats for some gaffers. That's why some of ya haven't heard from me. Very busy as of late promoting Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and shit. More info to come at the 100.

R.I.P to Biggie, some of the best hip hop made to this day. Love me some Notorious Thugs, Sombody's Gotta Die, Juicy, MAchine Gun Funk, Things Done Changed, etc.

Nice, looking forward to seeing what comes out of that. I want Virtua Fighter 5 so bad too :(

Biggie still, and probably always will, hold the crown for most memorable opening line in any song, in rap history. Hell, it's probably in the running for most memorable of all time.

Say it with me, "It was all a dream...."

Shivers.

Can't link to it but I loved what Jay and Kanye did with that line on A dream.

Rest In Peace to the black, nasty mother fucker!
My favourite Biggie track is the whole of Ready To Die.
Except for that piece of shit track Respect.
Ugh.
The album (minus Who Shot Ya? and Dreams) would be close to perfect without that track.

I love Brooklyn's Finest too cause it's nice to hear him just being hype on it. You can hear how happy he was to rhyme with Jay. If he lived, the true Watch The Throne would've been an album by those two.

Hell yeah, I agree with this. Brooklyn's Finest is a total hype track, I love it. Those two on a collab (when Jay still gave a shit) would have been so nice.

As far I know the reissued version of Ready to Die added those two songs (they're B-Sides, and Who Shot Ya? was also on Born Again). The original release of Ready to Die ends with Suicidal Thoughts.

The reissued version also removed the sample used in Machine Gun Funk. I'm not sure what else they added/removed though.

Me and Gutter had 2 spots
The 2-for-5 dollar hits, the blue tops
Gotta go, Coolio mean it's getting "Too Hot"
If Fay' had twins, she'd probably have 2 Pacs
Get it? .. Tu-pac's

Those bars would always make me smile. Although I became a BIG fan very later on in my hip-hop years, RIP.

RIP Big, one of the GOATs. Sad that people in the other thread can only contribute "BETTER THAN PAC LOL" instead of just appreciating Biggie.

Notorious was not a cool movie though.

Come at me, bro.

I thought the minority was that it was a good movie.

I'm in that minority though, I liked it a lot. I guess some of the alleged inaccuracies would irk bigger fans of Biggie though.

I liked it. It wasnt the best, and obviously a bias look, but it was entertaining enough.

Favorite track is Notorious Thugs and not only because of Bone but because Biggie kept up with them. His verse is godlike.

Going through some of Biggie's tracks on my way home and this popped up Runnin' (Dying To Live) love his verse:

Check it, I grew up a fucking screw up
Got introduced to the game, got a ounce and fucking blew up
Chopping rocks overnight
The nigga Biggie Smalls trying to turn into the black Frank White
We had to grow dreads to change our description
Two cops is on the milk box missing
Show they toes you know they got stepped on
A fist full of bullets a chest full of Teflon
Run from the police picture that, nigga I'm too fat
I fuck around and catch a asthma attack
That's why I bust back, it don't phase me
When he drop, take his glock, and I'm Swayze
celebrate my escape, sold the glock, bought some weight
Laid back, I got some money to make, motherfucker

I wonder how Biggie's career would have gone if he had lived through the shooting. Would he be another broke ass bitter NY rapper sending subliminals at Jay-Z? Would he have followed Diddy's flossy excess wave?

I remember reading that he wanted to go back to his roots for his third album: no glitz, little promotion, just gutter shit, black album cover with nothing on it, etc.

it wasnt bad. the best part of it was the actor that played biggie. thought he did a great job

Hey guys, I'm looking to make an ignorant/hype playlist. Any song suggestions? I've already added "John" by Lil Wayne though I generally think he's a terrible rapper. Any others?

if you don't mind mixes then go here, there's about 7 ignorant mixes from Blackace. Pretty sure you'll be pleased.

He did a good job but something about him just didn't look right.

i think its cause he was very smiley. not sure how biggie was IRL but he always looked either fierce or quiet and brooding, and not as..bubbly? i guess

movie also had lots of titties and those are always good :D

Ten Crack Commandments used to be my most hated tack on Life After Death, now it's one of my favorites. Guess I had to evolve to appreciate it.
Kick in the door is probably my favorite biggie track of all time though. I still yell "kick in the door, wavin' the 44!" when I barge into a room (usually while drunk).

Gimmie the loot and machine gun funk are up there too.

Nobody till somebody kills you was another track I didn't really like until years later, love the drum loop.

I feel like a terrrrible person- I can objectively appreciate with Biggie's stuff, but he's never clicked with me. I actually don't really personally like his stuff that much, I've always been Wu Tang>>>>Biggie. Kinda feel the same way about 2pac too.

Hey Blackace, use this for whenever you do an OutKast mix. You can use it as the intro.

This is what happens when I have to do homework and start goofing off instead.
