ASAP's verse is boring the first like, ten times you hear the song. But then you realize how hard he goes, mostly because of his flow and adlibs. He kinda just sets the stage for the song too by going in and giving his contribution.
Tell My ASAP killas get the pistols ready
Send them to the cemetery with obituaries
Don't be scared nigga, is you ready?
I've been thinkin bout
All the 0's in my back account (WHAT!)
X the hoes in my bed is round the same amount (WHAT!)
...
I know one thaaaaang
Anything is better than that 1 Train!
Super memorable lyrics.
I'd say Kendrick's memorable lines boil to to "doo doot" and "mm mm", but it is a good verse and much better than his Fuckin Problems verse.
Joey Badass went in with his opening line and the signing to the roc/assigned to the rocks line.
Yela did pretty good, he isn't that bad, people are bugging because he's Yelawolf. The part where he goes "RADIOACTIVE GOINS GOLD, AND SO, GREAT?" is highly memorable. That entire half of the verse is great and the Tupac verse.
But then Danny... steals the show. I'm not a southern rap guy so Krit doesn't do it for me. Danny kills it line after line. We needed a Q-Brown-ASAP tour song way more than a Club Paradise song.
Bronson does his usual schtick but the line "the moon's reflection off the lake hit me, you should've stayed with me, now many asian bitches lay with me" is one of his best lines ever though. I love that side of Bronson when he has a line that is just super ridiculous.
And Krit does his thing, he went in. I can't deny it. He just isn't my favorite. But jesus this was the hardest verse on the entire thing.
At first, ASAP seems the worst, but he holds his own. I'd say this is as close as we could possibly get to an all star posse cut in 2013 that isn't commercial and forced. A bunch of talented dudes going in, all of them being at least a A- tier lyricist besides ASAP who holds his own in his own way.
And the beat is one of the best beats I've ever heard most of these dudes on...
Danny > KRIT = ASAP (one is technically better, the other has more charisma IMO) > Kendrick > Bronson > Joey > Yela (but he did his thing)
What I REALLY want is the remix, with ASAP, Q, Ab-Soul, Flatbush Zombies, and Bodega BAMZ. *faints at the thought and spazzes all over the floor*
