But didn't he try to settle, and offered a nice amount? I can see why he was confident in going to court to, it seemed like a no lose case and I'm sure he had better lawyers than Finesse who's probably broke as hell - or at least was before the ruling.
I find it hard not to at least partially blame Mac Miller for giving Lord Finesse grounds to sue by putting that song up for sale and it being as blatant of a rip as it is. Negligence on his part created the opportunity for Lord Finesse to do what he did.

This man is correct.
Which is funny because that was the norm around the early 2000's and I'm sure no one gave a fuck. But I guess rappers didn't become as successful as Mac Miller did with that song.
I dunno. Shit sucks regardless and a further hurdle rappers needs to go over to put out music, even if it is free to the public.

With all this patois and dancehall being sprinked into the Pusha T stuff lately it makes me want to hear him over some dancehall beats. Sleng Teng, among others...
Pusha has always made cool dancehall references here and there "go Brrrttt like it's Nardo (Ranks) ...woman if you love me please let me know". He knows about dancehall. Probably has done some dubplate work somewhere here & there too. I'm sure Mighty Crown or King Addies or other NYC soundsystems has approached him for some expensive custom studio work. Mighty Crown convinced 50 Cent to do it.
Does anyone know if that's Lisa Hyper as the patois-spewing badass Jamaican female voice in the mixtape?
Edit: The intro is in the early lead for me. Parked it on that track.

It's no "Eeugh" but I still like.
That Intro is my early favorite. But the Ab Liva song, lyrically... Ab Liva is just intelligent/complex and on another level.
Really like the "Only You Can Tell It" on this better than the single version.
The chipmunk voice REALLY got to me. It needs Pusha talking over it to reduce the annoyingness.
It's a good song but that chipmunk effect is almost comical on the song.
