My game of gen: Uncharted 2.
The hype at the time was crazy, and I was one of the people that got the first uncharted on the day of release. The game fuckig blew my expectations. The E3 demo was basically what the whole game felt like. And that was an intense demo. Shit. My sister would fuckin watch me play it Cus it was so entertaining. Multiplayer was fun too.

Second place: Bad Company 2.
Campaign was funny. But that multiplayer dawg. I would be top of my team like all the time.

Third place: no idea. Between: MW 1, Flower, and The Last Of Us.

I don't understand why people like Skyrim at all besides the open world and perhaps it looking pretty with some mods.

By the second dungeon I decided I never wanted to play it again because it was boring as fuck.

Everybody is on TLoU nuts, but Bioshock: Infinite was by far the more unique story. Sorry if taking every zombie movie in existence and cramming The Road together in a video game doesn't make me wet myself.

BI was fantastic in every way and the story was refreshing, the setting wholly unique and the ending is bar none my favorite ending of all time.

Bioshock 1, absolutely. You'd miss a metric ton of subtext, plot and the ending wouldn't make sense whatsoever.

I mean, you could YouTube it and all, but it wouldn't be the same.

You can skip BioShock 2. Decent game, but not integral to the overall package.

I want to play Infinite but I gave up on the original Bioshock when I had it spoiled and the gunplay(/powerplay?) wasn't good enough to keep me motivated.

And I feel like if I didn't finish the original, it'll severely take away from the impact of Infinite.

This is a big reason why I don't buy a lot of shit on PC. 1/2 the time it isn't optimized well enough and some poor sob on a forum has to try and fix what the developers couldn't make work or optimize well. Spending a year port begging, only to get the game and then have to wait for the next Steam summer sale for either the devs or the community to patch it up is a big turn off.

and yeah, after the combat in Souls i had zero desire to try again

TLoU had good gameplay & great character. Infinite was a solid game but it still got repetitive (and some of the social stuff was fun, but pretty heavy-handed too). i dug the ending but the overall wasn't super memorable for me

Oblivion had one of my favorite mods. It made the game enjoyable and everything. Oscura's Oblivion Overhaul. The dude who made the core mod was hired and worked on Skyrim. You can see his influence too.

Game was jank city without OOO. I dont fault Bethesda and Obsidian QA much as other people do for their games being buggy and retarded as fuck or broken in some respect. By sheer nature of all the factors, complexity, and things the game engines take into account its not a surprise that the game shits the bed from time to time.
