So we're officially at the halfway point for the year, lets get everyone's top 5 so far and as a bonus your song of the year

The Doppelgangaz - Hark
Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire - Kismet
The Jet Age of Tomorrow - The Jellyfish Mentality
Chance The Rapper - Acid Rap

I was thinking about Run the Jewels but I haven't heard that album enough.

Song of the year? Quasimoto – Planned Attack

WanderingWind

Mecklemore Is My Favorite Wrapper
Still need to listen to Run the Jewels, but nothing released has been very good this year. Really mediocre year, so far.

Acid Rap - Chance The Rapper
Summer Knights - Joey Bada$$
Prisoner of Conscious - Talib Kweli
Born Sinner - J. Cole
Evolution - Slum Village

No order:

Run The Jewels
The Patriarch
ESGN
HARK!
Yeezus

Okay I lied, that's in order. Other standouts were The Patriarch II, the Moe Pope & Rain album from like January with some real nice production on there, Acid Rap, Kismet, etc. Not sure how many of these will end up on the top 10 for the year though.

LIST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serengeti should definitely be up there. Its not for everybody, but it is really good. Directions has got to be one of the top tracks this year.

I'm very surprised at how much of you like ESGN. huh.

I have R&B in my top 5, since I can bounce between the rap projects so much this year...

Def 1&2:
Janine and The Mixtape: Dark Mind
SZA - S EP (if she's on TDE, she's the best next to Kendrick...)

3-5 (pick 3):
Live Love Asap
WMWTSO
Run The Jewels
Yeezus (part of it...)
Future- FBG The Movie

Song of the Mid-point of the year (all equal for me):

Blood on the leaves
Watching Movies
Dark Mind

I have to catch up on rap. R&B has been S tier for me.

No order,

Czarface
Run The Jewels
The Brown Tape
West Coast Gangsta Shit
The Psychic World of Walter Reed (More people really need to check this out)

And wtf at Raekwon being featured on MCHG??

Haha, to be fair though, how many 16 year old girl producers have you heard of? That have worked with someone as huge as Jay? That's just crazy.
