There's a great scene in the HBO show Treme, where a DJ character uses the N-word around his friends and another guy who overhears him punches him in the face.
I know it's not healed yet, but maybe we need to blend the lines more. No word should be restricted to a race. We are all people. No one should be allowed, or not allowed anything based on race. The actions of ancestors will eventually be just in the past. We need to get it there.
