What albums or mixtapes have I missed this year? The only album I'm enjoying is MNIMN. Old didn't catch my attention. I'll give it more listens. This is a boring year for me. I'm tired of playing all TDE albums / mixtapes to death lol.

Haha I know right. Plus there is something about the fact she is Vietnamese but does hip hop that is a huge turn on. Part of the reason I wanna go to one if her shows is to meet other Vietnamese girls who love hip hop. There are plenty of good looking girls here. And as a youngish decent looking guy with a steady job and good income, getting girls here is easy as hell, but it's hard to relate to a lot of girls here and have something in common, which kinda kills it after a few fucks. If I could meet someone here who loves hip hop that would be fucking awesome because we would have at least something to talk about and relate to.

She's barely Hip-Hop though.....I heard a few of her songs and that's like saying Black Eyed Peas is Hip-Hop.

Of all the nonsense from Asian countries I've heard the only stuff that comes close to US Hip-Hop is Korea and Japan. Those guys at least know what they're doing:

Don't get caught or don't create any kinda financial stream from it if you don't plan on clearing. It why some rappers cut back on sampling even on free tapes. If you manage to get a hit song off a tape/video and you tour off the strength of it you can still get sued (It happened to Mac Miller).

Well yeah, hip hop is still really new here. The government here gets real twitchy about anything political and they also have a pretty stern stance on porn and violence. So hip hop that is home grown has to walk a fine line. People have been put in prison for making political songs critical of the government, so hip hop is on dangerous ground. So a lot of the rappers here are more poppy with their sound to be safe. As the scene grows we will probably see more typical style hip hop though, and there are some dudes, like this guy called wavvy, who do some more abstract stuff that has more lyrical substance. I actually tracked down the studio where a lot of local rappers have recorded, thinking about booking some time just go have some fun and record something.

So, got my backpack jacked while walking to my car. Had most of my textbooks for school plus novembers rent money in it. Now I'm fucked. Seriously fuck life...almost on some bottle and a bullet shit( not really suicidal but this shit sucks). I honestly have no idea how I'm gonna pass midterms without books or pay rent. Fuck. Sorry for the rant, I'm just beyond frustrated....... :-(

Yeah I'm also interested Hip-Hop scene in Asia as well. I know some countries like Pakistan bans people from making Hip-Hop music altogether but I'm more interested in the production aspect since I can't understand those languages anyway. I'm just wondering if Vietnam has producers who make sounds like Dre or DJ Quick or Pete Rock? That would be kind of interesting and funny at the same time.

Get them for cheap on Amazon or Ebay. Or get previous old editions, those should be cheap.
