Diggin the fuckoutta that ASAP tape. Yall cray.

EDIT: also, much less offended by that Slaughterhouse album than expected. I actually kinda like it. Is a heavy decayed snare Eminem/Shady's new trademark sound tho? Think every song has it.

EDIT 2: the mix on ASAP Mob isn't as bad as some of yall make it out to be. It's kinda a trademark of that old memphis sound they're trying so hard to ape.

Also who would have thunk that a Jim Jones feature would outshine a Danny Brown feature in 2012?

I need a link to that one Danny Brown track that yall were hyping a couple weeks ago with the real heavy 808s. Found it

Poor Ferg gets too much hate on here.

Did Jim Jones outshine Danny? I don't know.

He did. The Brown verse isn't bad by any stretch but Jim Jones is to this album what Schoolboy Q was to to LiveLoveA$AP. He totally owned that beat and swallowed the rest of the damn album with that verse. It was focused.

Hell no, Danny had a much smaller verse a beat that was much harder to tackle how are you even comparing
Someone up there said something.

I was just not feeling it. Boring I guess? Schoolboy Q was great on LLA though.

A dipset album produced by clams casino would make crazy waves in the industry. It'd be ASAPs album but refined and mainstream from the start. That would be amazing.

Couldn't have said it better. It's like ASAP energized him.

Charles Hamilton is the only rapper from Harlem that deserves to be on Clams Casino and not him rapping, just a beat playing while he is being interviewed.

On a side note: Flatbush Zombies D.R.U.G.S. has grown onto me like crazy. I mean the beats are sick and these guys without a doubt have one of the best flows this year. Their lyrics aren't really there yet, but definitely looking forward to whatever they do in the future.

If Kid Cudi did less weed and more R&B: I give you Steven A. Clark.

Yo that Slaughterhouse album is... actually dope. Some pretty good songs on there, even moreso than the first album. I'm surprised. I mean, it's no crazy achievement of sorts, but there are at least 6-8 listenable songs on there.

You guys talked about Talib Kweli yet? Can't stop listening to this.

It's alright. Definitely a step up from the usual from Talib.

Their is one track on there that is like 12min or something crazy like that. Anyways I like that one havent heard the rest.
Your listening to the mixtape, not the album.

That's what it really does mean. When that shit is liked far and wide, by a majority of people. Then you can talk classic.

Lupe?

Yeah, no.

Lupe's first two albums were praised heavily by critics and fans. Everybody got LASERS glasses on now. Get out of here with that condescending bullshit.

Lupe was always a B rapper. He just has a few nice punchlines here and there. Dude doesn't have the charisma to make a classic album. Just a few clever bars. Even those are becoming few and far between these days. He's a feature guy basically. He just doesn't have it in him to be the main event with any effectiveness.

Yeah i kinda have a problem with the whole concept of a classic being something liked far and wide by a majority of people. I mean look at Kanye's MBDTF. That shit sold well, has a high metacritic score and even got a controversial perfect 10 on pitchfork, but quite a few on here describe it as overindulgent and shittily mastered. Drake's Take Care also sold well, also went down well with critics, but if you tried to claim that as a classic, people would probably laugh at you. It's cool to talk about personal favourite albums or albums that were very influential within the genre, but nothing is perfect and I think the word classic just gets fucking abused nowadays.

Not sure if you are trying to say Lupe doesn't have punchlines at all, but if you are, then you are wrong.
kamspy implying dude relies on them.

Which is very, very wrong.

You can't label some shit a classic seriously within a year of it coming out. Classics resonate over time. Great albums that aren't, don't.

Dude... what the fuuuuuuuuck at putting MBDTF and Take Care in the same group. Get out of here. MBDTF changed hip hop. It might be the greatest rap album of all time.
