A lot of rappers who were be lauded as nice 3 years ago are being exposed by all the better rappers that have got more exposure since 2010. Lupe could be lumped into this group as well.

This isnt gonna sell shit.

Slaughterhouse has some mainstream penetration but their base is mostly the rappity rap fanbase, and this isnt what they want. No group of battle rappers are going to produce a huge hit no matter who you throw on the chorus. A cypher with skylar grey isnt exactly a formula for success... They would be better off either A) appealing to the underground with a genuinely quality product or B) slowing down the speed of their songs, switching mostly to punchlines, and cutting the number of members on each track to ~2 or 3.

if slaughter wants to push units they should be taking their template from the MMG volumes or the GOOD music compilation. Nobody's gonna wanna hear this shit except for Enzo and Net_Wrecker.

If I'm being honest with myself, I'm only checking for it out of the same weird loyalty that keeps me checking for 50 Cent, Lupe, Kanye, Eminem, and every other artist I used to like but kinda don't anymore. Aside from the BET Cypher, I haven't genuinely liked a Slaughterhouse song (meaning listened to it for more than 2 days) since 2009.

I DO think they have a niche being the rappity-rap hype-hop group, but that tracklist has a super Shady sheen to it. In other words, I want an album full of THESE.

I used to think the same until The Bar Exam 2, The Bar Exam 3, Success Is Certain, and Street Hop (to a lesser extent). Too much mediocrity. His pre-2008 output is solid, and he can still ride the beat with the best of them (see: Hell: The Sequel) but Joey overtook him IMO.
