I've sampled or tried sampling Chicago Wind on multiple occasions. Hahah yeah I remember where my sample went now.
The one I tried sampling many times was Jimmy Dead Interlude. I actually still have the file for it too lol. Sometimes I debate on just trying to finish that whenever I open up my files and see the name. The whole soundtrack is really so dope though and there's a lot of sample potential.

please fix whatever url you just gave me lmao.

I can hear so many dope loops in there

Speaking of, the girl on the cover of both the album and EP runs a blog. She's a giant VINYL junkie:

Pretty sure she's cool with a lot of dudes in the LA area and Stones Throw. IF you're looking for sample browse her site for some ideas.

EDIT: IT might be her on the Ghost x Adrian Younge cover too.

Everytime Cocaphony posts in here I get the urge to work.

ALSO HRD, I don't think you can just submit your shit to places like that. They gotta want to work with you first/approach you first. (talking about Tri-Angle, not necessarily rappers)

I get that feeling anytime anybody posts their beats up in here. I think that same night you dropped that tape, I ended up making 4 beats staying up all night lol.

Had to leave my midi controller back in the states, I'm missing the fuck out of it right now, would really like to make a few beats. Or try to, I was never all that successful but it was fun at least.
Would like to find some time to write something and record as well.

I'll ask this since there's a lot of Ghost fans in here...when you hear Ghostface spit, do you usually understand what the fuck he is saying? I was listening to Mighty Healthy last night and realised that I just kind of black out to the dope production and his flow, but I don't really have a clue what what he is getting at most of the time. I looked at the Rap Genius page and realised I would have never understood shit like "Monty Hall expo" and "Overnight, God schedules, Fed-Ex"

The same thing goes for Raekwon, maybe even more so.

How is it on an album with multiple Big Sean appearances and a fucking Chief Keef verse, does Common still manage to rake in the weakest verse?

Mighty Healthy and the rest of Supreme Clientele and some of Wu Forever had Ghost using a stream of consciousness style. He was just being crazy and lucid. It was awesome. Then in Bulletproof Wallets he mixed that, his old punch line style, with all storytelling. Also great. Then on Fishscale, Trife ghostwrote a ton of shit and Ghost became a boring D Block punch line rapper... Slowly. Alex (Stolen Script) was amazing. That Ghost rarely comes out. His New God Flow verse was good but he just sounds like an amazing version of Jadakiss and not my Ghostface...

Godbody slang. Straight up 5% talk. Like when Rae said "Meet me at the GOD hour" He means 7. Seven, in supreme mathematics means "GOD" Now, the Monty hall verse is simple. Monty hall was the host of "Lets Make a Deal" an expo is where you show your product to investors or sell to buyers.

Rapgenius is a 7send.

I honestly don't catch a lot of the references some of the more lyrical rappers make. Shit, I'm not cultured enough to know. A lot of the time it's a "ill take your word for it" kind of thing. If I really like a song I'll look it up and gain more appreciation for it though. But only if it's a good song to begin with and not just a smorgasbord of words.

if you see me in a fight with a bear, don't help me fool, help the bear!
why tho? its pretty harmless
It's not really

Every fan of anyone can state why they like someone

Gucci fans

Waka fans

Lupe fans

All can coherently state their case
