For some reason I've been singing the 1st verse of Ice-T's 6 in the Morning all weekend. IDK what prompted this, but I've been doing all yesterday and all today!

Didn't know what made me flowing 6 in the Morning didn't have time to ask....

Lecrae did great for an independent album in its first week (72K).

This could be a smart move for Game.

EDIT: Wait, he called Kanye to get advice on how to be a rapping Christian? LOL!!!!

Just listened to the interview, yeah, he doesn't really call it a christian album. He just basically said exactly what I said almost about how even gangsta love god and such. Just going to mention him more, but I'm pretty sure it'd be on par with him mentioning god in just about every other album he has. Not really a big deal.

I don't believe X either. I swore I heard him say that like 6 years ago. You should just go check out christian rap albums if that's your thing. Someone mentioned LeCrae, you might like him.

R.Kelly acutally did make a christian album of sorts. It was the "U Saved Me" disc on his double album "Happy People/U Saved Me".

This is really just an evolution of Game's name-dropping methodology. I think he feels like the quality of his raps share a positive correlation with the status of those he name drops. Therefore, using Game's logic it makes perfect sense to forego mentioning the rap-gods he's hung out with and go straight for God. Smart move on his part, obviously.

R. kelly did actually come out with a Christian album, and I believe X did actually complete a gospel album, but it just hasn't been released.

Definitely not my thing. Prolly wouldnt have listened to Game or Xs "Christian" albums if they ever happen.

Just got done making this was trying to go for something different than my usual type stuff. I feel like the sound in it is a bit familiar to me, but don't know if it's because I listened to it over 1000 times to make sure it sounds okay or what haha, so sorry if it happens to bite off some song I can't remember right now.

I know I am not toku, but, I really like it. It feels like its building up to something at first though. Like, its working towards a climax that never comes. Just my opinion though.

haha, I'm accepting opinions from everyone. just tried to get toku's attention. Yeah, I felt the same exact way, but I couldn't exactly find the climax that the song deserves. That's why the ending switches up like that. Kind of like a cliffhanger

Thanks though! Probably going to take a break from the song and see if other ideas come to me.

That Cole song is good, and the production is pretty nice too(Cole is getting better). I just have had my fill of Cole now. 3 mixtapes and 1 album later, and im tired.

I love college towns. Finally moved and a close bar had an amazing succession of music. Walked in on Mos Def, followed by Biggie, then Wu, and finished with Fugees.

YUP. I was in Harvard Square at a Chipotle with some friends and they played some Roots followed by Umi Says. Of course none of my friends knew what was playing (claiming I only knew cuz I was black. So the fuck what?") Anyway, it was good
