Death Grips is fine, that is if you don't mind some experimental shit and you actually listen to other music genres. I still don't like the actual concept of their music much; but then again i was never into punk (it sucks)

I listen to plenty of other genres and even like punk. Death Grips is shit embraced by hipsters thinking it is something they should like because a blog told them to.

I have no love for punk music. I went to some punk show when I was young and dumb and would go places like that if a girl asked me. It sounded like the same incomprehensible song being mangled for 3 hours straight, just one dude screaming nonsense and three other dudes banging on their instruments like drunk mentally handicapped chimps . Don't fuck with punk anymore and I don't go places just cause some chick asks me.

Doesn't sound like a lot of the punk bands I used to listen to, that sounds like shit. Like Death Grips.

edit: the genre is a bit stagnant at the moment though

Eh, I always put them in the pop punk category. Though it shares the name, it's about as different from punk as rap is to RnB.

I can't fuck with Death Grips, AT ALL. To me shit comes off as trying to hard to be edgy, and it's "too deep for me". May be being ignorant, but that shit is pretty wack and most certainly not hip-hop.

I listened to the new Death Grips a few times and haven't heard it since. It never really stuck with me. "I've Seen Footage" from the first album is amazing though. I highly recommend that track, even if you are not a fan of them.

I find it genuine edgy. And it's impossible to categorize. I wouldn't call them hip hop either.

They definitely have their own thing going and it's worth appreciating.

Well this is a stupid statement. Way to lump everyone into a group. I know it sounds insane, but I actually liked Death Grips before they started getting major attention in the media! Crazy, right?

The Money Store is fantastic. It's the perfect evolution from Exmilitary. It's basically an angry black guy screaming over futuristic motorcycle sounds and it is abrasive as fuck. They don't hold anything back on that album. I can't listen to Hacker without goin' crazy and punching shit. And hey, if you don't like it, that's totally okay. I just don't understand why people who DON'T like death grips are so quick to angrily defend their standpoint.

Not all music is for everyone. There's no need to insult an album's fan base just because you don't like it.

You are right. Even in porn, there are fans of piss and poop sex. Death Grips is the musical equivalent of that. To each their own.
