Memorizing amino acids and having to draw their structure out from memory? And that's supposed to be relatively easy compared to orgo and shit?
Nah. Nah fam. I'll hold that D+. My grade 12 bio teacher prepped us well for Uni (didn't study for the final exam of a first year general course and came out with an A), but beyond that I knew that shit wasn't for me and deaded getting into med right there.

Biochem is arguably the hardest course though. The only thing harder than that offered at my school in bio courses was a research topics course in biomedical science that co-opd with the hospital near us.

My favorite course in college is neurobiology by far (taking it right now). We still haven't gotten to the interesting topics (memory, depression, other disorders) and I'm already in love. I get to dissect a sheep brain tomorrow too.
Biochem metabolism would probably be second. It's orgo application with an engaging context. Learning the nitty gritty of beta oxidation, glycogen synthesis, ketone production was pretty amazing.

Orgo's difficulty lies in nobody being able to teach it well. You can go heavy on learning mechanics of it, or you can just brute memorize.
That seminar? Hard as fuck. I got a C+. It had 4 teachers, and basically you had 4 tests and 4 quizzes in the semester. NTM that they all taught different subjects, so you were starting from scratch with each teacher. Shit was the worst.
I was also taking viro/immuno at the same time, so i took an L.
