the thing is it's not even the chorus in that song, its the fact that EVERY single Krit hook follows that formula. youd think he would evolve his hook game. it makes his 1st album almost unlistenable at times

Krits hooks are no worse than a lot of hooks rappers come up with. Simplistic and repetitive hooks are a cornerstone of rap. For better or worse.

I know a large part of hhgaf turned on Rittz last year because the culling claims whomever it desires regardless of rhyme or reason, but anybody else enjoying the new album? LAF is the shit.

And yeah cacophony i think i agree the problem isn't that hook per se. It's that every single one of his recent hooks is just lazy, really predictable single word repeating. someone brought up Versace before but even Migos don't reuse that shit often. It easily gets old.

What's so hard about making a hook brehs? "Cadillacs parked out back, fuck dime sacks we rollin blunts that phat" or some shit like that would have fit the same melody and been significantly less retarded. Shit sounds like a placeholder.

Reminds me of my complaint about new NY rap. What "old school" rappers were dudes like Joey Badass listening to, truly? I remember the 90s being full of dope hooks and choruses, even in the most thugged out gutter MOP shit. These new dudes just suck at songwriting, period. Likewise KRIT clearly grew up on UGK, 3 6 Mafia, etc etc yet can't write a fucking hook? How does that happen.

It's funny cause there are disparate things i like about it like the guitar but the way it all comes together is so heavy handed interscope/eminem ebola that i can't fuck with it at all.

I think they were listening to what you woud expect. They just processed that shit the wrong way.

It's alright. Gets repetitive like the last few seasons but if you liked those then this one will be jokes too

It's not a huge shakeup like the new arrested development was
