I remember really looking their first effort.
Ditto. This one feels less intimate and personal to me. I don't think it's completely lacking in insight, but it just feels as though it's coming from this detached hard-boiled perspective. I'd still recommend giving it a once over on Bandcamp.

I'd say he deserves the fame and wealth if he's decided that what he wants right now. Gaf-Hop will be Kritical regardless.

I came in here to lament the fall off of Ghostface but wooooooooo. That song is hot, way better than the last one they did. Finally some instrumental rap with actual fucking basslines.

That Ghostface x BBNG has me really hype. That song was dope. I can't believe my friend played a show with BBNG yesterday too. I wonder if he knows anything lol.
Also low key Frank Dukes making it. He broke when he won the Red Bull Academy producer contest, and the prize was Red Bull would try to get him in the studio with whatever rapper they wanted. He asked for Ghostface, this was 4 years ago, and they made this song which ended up on Apollo Kids:

I didn't think he was anything special though.
After that he threw some beats at 50 Cent and G-Unit.. around the time Danny Brown was linked with Tony Yayo. So he got beats on Hybrid and XXX.
Since then he's been working with Ghost, Danny Brown, and others but he also linked up with BadBadNotGood and they did the dope ass songs for the Man With Iron Fists soundtrack, including Rivers of Blood (best Wu song in YEARS). I think he even did a song for the MMLP2. Now this? He has a solid sound and has been putting in some good work.
