too far lol
Whats the functional difference between Infinite Eminem and Canishit, not much really. just a bunch of riggity rap rhymes. If rap was a formalized discipline in music schools, they'd make you rap songs from infinite and canibus's library as an advanced rap exercise. But much like running scales up and down; this music has no content or intent really.

also whenever Infinite is gassed up like it's a real gem i assume it's like Com fans who do that with Can I Borrow A Dollar: i mean, okay, there's some tracks & it deserves a footnote but with stuff like Resurrection/Like Water for Chocolate etc actually showing a refined style, his original shit doesn't age nearly as well so i figure either you don't really dig dude's body of work or just like saying that shit because people safely assume the premier work = best all around

Preach, cosign etc.

Don't worry Irish they'll drop in price in a couple months. Plus it's better to put some of that money toward a Shenmue 3 kickstarter.

Well, Bound 2 might fall in line with how some reports say a lot of the songs Ye is playing right now are a "throwback," which Bound 2 very much is. Still will probably have drums that pump a bit more.

Ye actually said explicitly, he knew people would fuck with the album more if he opened with that song as a bombastic jam, so he put the most abrasive, left field song first.

Blood On The Leaves is probably the 2nd worst song off of Yeezus after Bound 2 TBH. Kind of appreciate how he added to the original TNGHT beat, but I find the autotune at the end increasingly grating.

huh, bound 2 is the only good track on yeezus.

I wasn't gonna add the shenmue 3 part because Irish is my dude but yea, don't sweat it man. Evil Within gonna be 50% off by January just watch. Isolation is a SEGA game so that'll be 75% by steam christmas sale.

Yeah I'd agree that Ye should have toned down the auto tune on Blood on the Leaves. Bound 2 is pure shit.

Infinite Em is a straight nas/illatic rip tho but it does have a couple of good hits
I'd rather listen to infinite than recovery any day tbh

yeah i'm definitely grabbing those around december/january. they'll be 50% or less by then.

and bound 2 is shit. the only recycle-bin track on yeezus tho.

best song on yeezus is hold my liquor. followed by i'm in it.

Terrible post.

Infinite Eminem was a shitty Illmatic monkey rhythm rapper flippy cover band. I don't like any era of his, but before he was molded by Iovine he had no song concepts, he was trash with no direction. Like Big L with no swag and none of the gawd-tier punchlines.

I should've put the /s to make it more obvious clearly

for the record even though im an Em stan i wasn't saying infinite was a diamond in the rough lol there are many many things wrong with it
i was more just against Canibus haha

i do like the advanced rap analogy though

11 songs into Under Pressure.
Starts off slow, gets better.
It's often inconsistent.
"Bounce" and "Nikki" are early standouts.
Latter half of the album reminds me of GKMC...and I mean that in a bad way. It sounds copycat-ish. Especially the actual song "Under Pressure," although that is a good song.

Went into it with no expectations, but I'm liking it overall.
I enjoy the fast rapping parts too since Logic remains understandable.

edit: I also have to give him props for overall album length (as in # of songs) and lack of features. Two or three may have been fine, but nothing annoys me more than albums with >75% of the songs having features.

edit 2: on the last song now, overall I enjoyed the album and it deserves at least a second listen.

edit 3: "Now" is a surprisingly hard song (for a guy like Logic)
On that note, deluxe songs are 2/2 so far.

I used to occasionally spark up to Tonite because it's kind of like a fun cheery song about nothing with a bubbly beat, but the rest of Infinite is pretty crap. At least after he got Linkin Park'd he made songs with more passion, better concepts, more distinctive production, etc. Overall it's like a 5-6/10 album though, totally forgettable, might as well listen to Canibus.

Yeah, I fucks heavy with Tonite, it's super bass-heavy in a way that gives it a house party feel, like you're 8-12 beers deep and the stereo is blasting...dudes who normally wouldn't dance are busting moves and the girls who were all prim and proper earlier that night are turning into drunken sluts and shit. Party and Bullshit has a very similar feeling, so similar that I wanna say Em used that song as a template when creating Tonite.
