Drake has to be the most sensitive big rapper of all time. I remember him saying NWTS would be a super lyrical album, word of a Wu Tang song leaked...then the album came out and was the same awkward, one flow shit. He's not bad, he's better than average...but that's really about it. He doesn't do anything noteworthy from a rap perspective; all his strengths are pop oriented (hooks and melody). Yet he's still acting like "real hip hop" is that father figure he has to impress, and clearly catches feelings when he's challenged (Control). smh

Drake would fuck Schoolboy Q just to get at Kendrick. But he'd do it in some corny way trying to be subliminal.

You know I might be a little too hard on statik's project. I say that because I realized I hate the way these producer albums are formatted. It just doesn't appeal to me at all.

Still the fatigue of his album sets in about halfway through and I do believe if you have 5 sets of 4 beats that will sound similar. Doesn't help all the choruses basically play at the same so that tires me as well

Okay, I always at least try to respect other people's opinions, no matter how much I disagree. But in these topics there's always people proclaiming that there's this huge gulf in talent between Eminem and the rest of the game, or even worse, they dismiss the entire genre aside from him. I can't help but find these opinions a little suspect. It goes deeper than poor taste, if you know what I mean.

On a different note, some dude in there actually said Joey Badass is a better rapper than Kendrick. That's just obscene.

Why do most people stan dusty ass rappers? They've listened to them for their entire childhood, shared their most personal moments with their music, hence growing this irrational attachment to their work. Of course they don't mind Eminem's work; they wanted old Em after all. That's the one they grew up with right? The difference with Eminem compared to others, is that his content and style has just grown outdated and extremely corny.

Most of the people in that thread that proclaim him to be the best in the game right now don't even listen to rap seriously anyway.
