i can say objectively that Kendrick's net / net for 2014 is an L.

not the L of the year or anything. But an L is an L. normally i would say this gives one pause for reflection, but he's had plenty of that.

as a hip-hop fan i don't care if you do a song for the NBA, or make a deal with Reebok, and when such trivial things get trotted out, i go full-backpack mode, those things fall under the "respect the hustle" category, but don't mix it up with artistic integrity

I think I only liked one Kendrick feature this year and that was on the FlyLo album.

But even that gets tiresome after a few plays.

In 2014 Kendrick's musical output has been one shitty single and 7 guest verses (my bad, 14, 7 of which were singles), of which I only heard the Flylo one which was decent. Coming off his gargantuan hype, the fact that he's in the public spotlight right now, that's a pretty big L just based on mediocre output. I don't care that he's making money.

Yeah, Young Thug is stupid, but nobody ever expected him to say anything intelligent and nobody even knew who he was last year anyway. Nobody gives a shit about Lil Wayne in 2014 or Azealia Banks ever. Nobody expects anything from any of them.

I'll give you Drake getting smacked tho, just because I'm his biggest hater
