Almost done with Tetsuo & Youth.
The album is levels above Lasers, but this doesn't shock me. There are some sonically interesting tracks on the album, and Lupe is experimenting a lot with his delivery which I like.
What I dislike is the length of the album: three 8+ minute tracks and 16 tracks feels like unconcentrated overdose. I would have a much more compact album with more focus.
That being said, there are some bangers on this and some of the hooks/bridges are memorable. This is a good direction for him. Probably need to give this more listens, but yeah: not terrible, not amazing, but pretty decent.

This seems like the general conscious of the album (well, besides the guy who thinks it's the album of the decade). I guess if you liked Lupe's other material, you'll probably like this one was well, it's just not going to gain any fans
