rhyming in triplets was neither invented by migos nor something new

regardless, quavo most consistent feature killer out there
wow.png

then tell me who i have to blame for this godawful way of rhyming.

nvm found it:

the American hip-hop group Crime Mob exhibited a new rap flow in songs such as "Knuck If You Buck", heavily dependent on triplets. Rappers including Drake, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and more have included this influence in their music. In 2014, an American hip-hop collective from Atlanta, Migos, popularized this flow, and is commonly referred to as the "Migos Flow" (a term that retains contention within the hip-hop community).[85]

Fuck crime mob then.

And wtf at that lil yachty dude. everytime i'm certain we reached the bottom of the barrel...

I don't see anything on Spotify Germany at least. But yeah, it's more of a mixtape, it seems.

Listening to the new Brilliant Idiots episode with Joe Budden, lol.

Schulz was pissing Joe off with his schtick. They need to do this more but next time on the Brilliant Idiots.

akldlaldkdjadlkl!!! Kendick BODIED THE EVERLOVING FUCK OUT OF THIS SHIT.

[Verse 2: Kendrick Lamar]
Everything I touch may disintegrate into dust, uh huh
Everything I trust may dishonor me in disgust, come on
Everything is everything, affidavits and wedding rings
I pull blood on my higher horse, I report what it was
I don't wear crosses no more, Yeshua's coming back
I ain't scared of losses no more, I see life in that
I don't resonate with the concept of love and hate
Cause your perspective is less effective and rather fake
The universe and the heaven's work in my DNA
Kendrick said "Fuck mother Earth", that's PSA
The land of the wicked, the foundation of Lucifer's spirit
Walking zombies and spellcatchers, I pray for forgiveness
Uncle Bobby and Bond June is lost again
The underworld and the fourth dimension, my family's in
The big money, the fast cars, my life produced
The blocks I connected while re-building this Rubix cube
So what you look up to?
Fame and fortune, fuck bullshit sources
Brand endorsement joining forces with sorcerers signing me
Law enforcement their forces, they torture us with violence B
Fuck you bosses employment my joy is to see all you bleed
Who knew Royce's with choices of color would my desire need
Crab and Oyster with gorgeous abortions I require thee
Flesh and poison the point is the reason, you won't die in peace
Open door for my boy, now they eating, we say, finally
I destroy and divorce what you eating, don't you hire me
Tape recording my voices and tweak it, let's play hide and seek
Wall distortion and forfeit this evening, you should try at least
I'm restoring the portrait of feasting, nigga, high on beast
I don't like to sleep, I'm up like coyote, I might OD
Hair like ODB, I'm off a higher need
Khaled is valid, I been looking for inspiration
But when you the holy key, you the only one in the matrix

Haven't heard the Kendrick track yet, but I can already hear his rappidy-rap-rap flow that I've been hating in almost every recent feature of his and that verse Andrew posted read like classic non-sense lyrical-miracle. He's becoming the next Em for me.

EDIT: To be fair, maybe I should listen to the track first and check Genius. But at least on first read it sounded like non-sense for the sake of double rhymes.

Both new Khaled songs are FIRE. Kendrick's verse is technically impressive, not really that thrilling to listen through on first listen, though.

New Ramriddlz is good.

New Budden is okayish to meh. Drake's yet to bring anything worthwhile to this beef so Budden should just stick with the silent treatment, even in the lesser position he's in.

New Jeremih tape is about par for course. Really good listen through, have no motivation to touch it again. I think it's a more even listen than Late Nights, but Late Nights had more keepers.

Dunno how to feel about the new Clams Casino. It's a lot of really different stuff, and I like a decent portion of it, but I still think I'd go back to Instrumental Tape 2 before this? Just a weird hodgepodge of things.

I enjoy the Clams Casino album to a degree, it's slick but definitely lacking the darker, more experimental edge of his best work. Wish it had more songs like this. The Vince Staples track is probably the highlight even though it's just a slightly inferior version of Norf Norf.

Dreezys album and that Polyester the Saint still in heavy rotation along with some 36 revival dark Memphis stuff I've been feeling.

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
Holy Key almost set my house on fire. goddamn!!!

I gotta say that I don't really like Kendrick, mostly because of his voice and flow. But his rhymes techniques are fucking insane.

the latter part of Kendrick's verse actually reminded me of the way Em put words together on Relapse. The rhyme scheme was extremely impressive.

and yeah, Sean came with it as well
