Never really been into Hov, can't really listen to any album of his all the way through. BP must be one of the most overrated hip hop albums of all time. Some of the joints on RD and Black Album are great though.

U Don't Know.
Guess there in't no love in the heart of Neogaf.

Wave Gods is pretty good. Doesn't touch the pure tidal wave concentrate that is Mac & Cheese 4 Appetizer, but it's good. Both French's and the guest hooks/melodies + production are really on point.

Standouts = Intro, Sanctuary Pt. 2, Figure It Out, Groupie Love, Jackson 5, Lock Jaw, All Over

February's been ridiculous.

Albums called Chaos '93, doesn't drop until Monday digitally though. I always get them physically off HF and they send them up to a week early at times.

This quarter been meh really, lots of disappointments in my opinion, so much undeserved hype

I've enjoyed this quarter so far

Anderson Paak
Future with Purple Reign & EVOL
Young Thug, I'm Up
French Montana, Wave Gods

And I'm still yet to listen to TLOP, Lushlife and Wiz Khalifa album.
And it's still only February.

Jay-Z at his best is unfuckwithable.

RD >
Black Album
>
American Gangster
>
The Blueprint

I've never delved into his non-classic works though, i went to with Vol 1 and...yeah, that did for me.

Monday for me then.

Gave it a rinse, going to give it a proper listen either later on or tommorow and i'll post some thoughts on it before Monday. I'm not the wordiest breh so it won't be super in depth or anything but i'll give you an idea of what you can and can't expect from it.

That Paak album is so garbage and boring my god I don't understand how anyone can be into that
Both of Future's tapes are like light 7 material
I'm Up is pretty good, I'm not sure I like it as much as SS2 or Barter 6 though
Wave Gods, so far, aight
Wiz Khalifa's album is garbage
TLOP Graduation tier, maybe slightly better
Lushlife barely qualifies as hip-hop, it's pretty interesting, not sure I'd call it good

My top 5 so far would probably be Purple Reign, EVOL, TLoP, USELESS and I'm Up.

I've only listened to TLoP a couple times though, I'm sure it's going to grow on me a lot. There isn't much on there that I don't fuck with, but I'm just waiting for it to click with me cohesively like Yeezus eventually did. I definitely feel like the last few tracks should be seen as bonus tracks, I'd cut it off after either Wolves or 30 Hours. Both sound like great ways to end the album and fantastic songs. I love No More Parties in LA, but the album doesn't need it. FACTS is meh, don't hate it but it certainly shouldn't be there and Fade is amazing but should've been slid into the middle of the album somewhere. But yeah, if it cuts off after Wolves or 30 Hours, I think we're talking about a much more cohesive and unified project, probably a 9/10 for me.

People have dissed French since his start and called him a flop... That shit was like 10 years ago... He's still getting spins.

Yeah, Sanctuary is dope.

Excuse My French was also straight, had to cop it when it came out.

The deluxe edition though, it made all the difference.
