So first the plan was to build a high-end setup but I wouldn't be able to do it until spring of next year, then I thought why not upgrade my current PC, and I estimated that to cost around $500... and now the plan is to build an average PC that's not the high-end I wanted but way ahead of my current one or an upgraded version of it and would be able to play most of the current big games at high settings.

BTW, uh, anybody ever bought PC parts from Ebay?

Anyway, I don't need a complete PC, I already have and plan to reuse: Keyboard/mouse, monitor, speakers/headphones, router.

Oh and current PC for what it's worth: 480W PSU, AMD 4400, 2GB DDR, and an ATI X1050... used to be a 256MB 7900GS but that cursed card died a miserable death recently.
