Just got some import games and I'm running into some troubles this time. PAL Wii user using RGB cable (so prefering to boot into PAL60) and the Wii is set to English. The games are: Ocotmania, Word Jong Party and Ultimate Shooting collection (I guess nobody with a PAL Wii owns those but give as much information as you can).
Octomania and Word Jong Party boot into PAL60. When you press the home button they freeze up completely (as a result I don't think it logs anything to the message board) as in the home menu doesn't show up at all or attempt to. Will any of the settings help me prevent that? When I don't force PAL60 I get the lovely Red and black screen but the home button does work.
Ultimate Shooting collection doesn't seem to boot into PAL60 when doing the force PAL60 from the game options on Configurable (but it goes to a black screen, I'm fairly sure Hajimete no Wii went to a green one). I can use the horrid composite cable for that (or get an S-video cable which solves the above without being such a large downgrade in quality).
Oh yeah, I guess I should mention I'm using I think configurable 59b (whichever is the first release with the message board writing) and the cIOS is 249 rev 15. Would the advice be see if the same happens with Hermes cIOS and 249 rev 19 and a more up to date loader? (they are all old games).
Edit: I am aware of the wiki saying play with the various settings but I'd like to know if there is a particular setting that prevents my problem.

I'm not sure if games can be written to do that. All I can think is checks of various IOS during parts of the game and behaving oddly if they are fakesigned. From what I understand the Prince of Persia protection checks the IOS and will crash if it doesn't like it.Speevy said:Couldn't Nintendo just include a line of code that wipes out your homebrew when you reach a certain Galaxy? :lol
Think about it. You can't really get around that.
