I'm just really sick of this phase of Gaga's career.

Jesus girl, always with the underwear and big, blonde, ratty-ass wig. And do any of us need to actually SEE this choreo to know EXACTLY what it's going to look like?

Get a new GIG already, girl. This shit is so tired.

Agreed. I want Gaga looking regal and doing minimal dancing while her backups do all the work around her, ala Kylie. This whole dancing awkwardly in awkward lingerie with an awkward wig doesn't work for her. She wavers too much between high and low-brow fashion. I wished she'd stick to high-fashion choices and just be stoic and fierce. I appreciate her trying to dance even though she's stiff as a porn star's peen but it's just not a good look for her.

How was Disclosure?

It was fantastic. I uploaded a pic on my IG hehe

It was great throughout. Visuals were pretty insane despite it being a simple production overall. My favourite moment was "Help Me Lose My Mind", which I never paid much thought on the album but live it was very intimate. Really cool experience!

Did they play 'January' at your show? I was disappointed when they didn't play it at the Austin show.

My favorite moments were when they played What's In Your Head, White Noise, and Help Me Lose My Mind. I hope they come back to Austin this year for their Wild Life thing.

I always see this comment made by Katy stans and I just assume they're uneducated, children, idiots, etc. because Legendary Lovers is clearly influenced by classical Indian music, and I really don't understand why that makes them think "Egypt!"

She references Cleopatra in the song, but I can see how that might slip past someone because the references to mantras, third-eyes, karma, and other Eat, Pray, Love-tier "Indian tropes for yts" are so overbearing. I guess we should just be thankful she didn't command anyone to hang themselves with a sari

I always thought Jealous was one of the weaker tracks on Beyonce, but this past weekend the whole song has suddenly clicked with me ;_;

Reading about the treatment of Janet Jackson and the impact on her career after her halftime superbowl performance is also really sad, especially in contrast to the negligible impact on Timberlake's career. 10 years ago makes me feel old :(

I know! I can't believe that was a decade ago. That was a good performance though, I still remember it. :p I already forgot the Bruno Mars performance.

Honestly I'm really late to Janet's entire discography... like I only heard All For You a couple of weeks ago and now it gets regular rotation in my daily shuffle. *0* ha longevity

Mariah is another kween I have largely ignored :(! I was born in 1994 so a lot of notable music releases like janet. and daydream from Mariah I've completely ignored.

I don't know about the rest of PopGAF but I definitely experienced my musical "awakening" when I discovered Bjork at 16 and subsequently Grimes as well and it totally blew my mind what type of music I was missing. Not necessarily the "experimental" genre but I guess music that wasn't considered mainstream or radio friendly songs. I think it gave me a sense of individuality in the music I was listening to #deep

Homogenic was my first Bjork album but my favorite is by far Vespertine. A friend and I were drinking on Saturday and I was openly crying while it played lol ;_;

I listened to Homogenic first when I discovered her. Then Post, then Medulla (it had been released around that time) and then Vespertine.

I can safely say Vespertine is her best work.

I think my current reigning faves are: Bjork, Grimes, Lana, Robyn, Gaga, Ellie, and Britney, although I think Robyn is my current supreme... ready for her snatch 2014 in a big way! Body Talk was 4 years ago :(

I was just listening to Robyn a few days ago. Her 2005 self titled still sounds so fresh. I hope she does come back soon.

I don’t want, I don’t want, I don’t want you to feel alone
I do my best to make you right at home
All I want, all I want is for you just to be okay
I know that soon there’ll be a brighter day

I will be the one, I will be the one
I will be the one, I will be the one
Who will love you, who will feel you boy
Who will hold you, who will bring you joy
