Is that site legit? I tried to order with my visa card and got: The transaction was declined as a result of triggering a Fraud Detection Suite filter.

Should be legit. I believe Yes Boss! got his Viewlix Diamond arcade stick there.

Really tempted myself. GBM is literally the only GB iteration I don't possess.

Yeah, they are good.

I've ordered probably a dozen times over the years...everything from sticks to even a PCB from them. Always double-boxed and packed well and not issues with payment.

Maybe try paypal or email them instead.

Do they send the tracking codes?

Yeah,

They just got a new shipment in. Their facebook posting has a photo of a crate of them. Probably the best price you will find on the Japanese version. Identical unit to the NA release but the packaging is absolutely incredible for a fan of Mario and/or Nintendo. Real nice. I already got one but really tempted for another.

Their old price was a bit inflated at $150 (and they've had them at that price for a few years). They usually go for a lot on ebay, the japanese release.

How is the packaging different from the US one? I bought one from a GAFer but never bothered to figure out if it was a US or Japanese version.

Also,

The japanese one is just tons of fun with pull out boxes, pixel art celebrating mario on each part of the box. Just awesome all around. My brother has the american version of the fami micro and it just had the normal boxing. None of my other special editon micros had as much attention to detail on the packaging. 20th Anniversary Micro is probably the best single piece of hardware Nintendo has ever produced.

JP packaging is much smaller.

Thanks.
It looks like I do have the Japanese version. If it had turned out to be the US version, I would have bought this as well. Quite easily the best looking handheld ever.

Here a photo I took a few years ago of the recent Mario birthday handhelds. Kinda crappy photo, no photo will do the 20th any justice.

I'd bite for 100 but right I have too many other more important things to buy. On that note I have two things. I bought a micro from gaffer pwncakes and the faceplate has scratches? Is there any places that still sells them? Also, I have a broken micro and an extra battery. Would anyone like to buy it for parts?

Thanks for the heads up Yes Boss! Looks like they're already out of stock now too. Luckily I'm an impulse buyer :p

Now I have a second hand Famicom Micro to sell!

Ah, that was quick. I was hoping they would stay in stock for another week or so so I could get another. Broke like crazy right now. I tend to use my other micros and never touch the Anniversary one. And, I've always wanted the two-player CN panel but that has been very ellusive.

Was the 2P faceplate club Nintendo exclusive or something?

Yep, very hard to get as very few appeared on eBay at the time...it was a good time before Club Nintendo stuff was really being posted on eBay and North American/EU Club Nintendo had not started yet so it was not really on the radar. To be honest, I've not tracked it in a few years so they might of shown up or be easier to find. I was looking for one earlier this summer in Japan and no luck. I check Solaris every so often but they've not posted one yet either.

Just FYI,

Arcade Shock (in Calif.) got a bunch of new Japanese Mario Micros in and is selling them for $99. Nice price since they used to sell them for $150.

Looks like OOS already.

I got one on ebay for about $65-70 I believe. Amazing for playing during my commute on the bus.

Been playing TWEWY on the DS recently, but once I beat that back to the Micro with Castlevania:AoS and Mario & Luigi: SS up next.

A got a little used silver one I scored from my brother a month ago...he just did not want it anymore. Got the little Famicom Star Soldier cartridge in there. Sits on my desk under my computer screen for fun every now and then. I don't know where the charger is so when it is out of juice I'll be out of luck.

I bought a USB charger for my Micro. So now I just haul my iPhone plug everywhere and that cable works great. Can charge it from my Mac too. It cost around £5 on eBay.

I swapped out my Famicom Micro's faceplate with an official black faceplate years ago. I then proceeded to lose the original Famicom faceplate. I love my Micro, but I get sad every time I see a mint Famicom version.

I just got a GB Micro from a gaffer and I was looking for something to play. My Brother had given me his copy of Wario Ware Twisted.

So awesome! The cartridge is like a little handle. I stand up when playing! Best Wario ever! (DiY, is most under appreciated)

I really need to rebuy Kirby Tilt n' Tumble for my Color. That game seems like it will never make it to VC.

Arcade Shock are again listing more new Japanese micros tomorrow. Some ace colors in there. Here's hoping the $99 price stays the same. Lol, I got no money so I won't be getting a sexy purple one. Boo.

Ahh, looks like the Famicom ones were supposed to be $149 but they mistakenly listed it as $99 and are honouring it anyway (good on them)!

So these new ones will be $99 too but the others should have been higher.

Wish I could get one but I spend my last money on the Famicom one hehe...

They blew them out at $99. They've been in stock for quite awhile bit at $150. Hopefully they blow these out at $99 as well...guessing they might be greedy like NCSX and up the price a bit.

Yeh I got mine at $99 but on their Facebook they said:
We erroneously listed the price of the unit for the normal version of the GB Micro in place of the Anniversary Edition. In the spirit of the holidays those who have already placed an order will get their units. Thank you for everyone's support in this. We will have other GB Micro's for sale in various colors in a few days at the $99.00 price point.

How do they get more stock since Nintendo isn't manufacturing them anymore?

Did they make extra and they are just sitting in warehouses waiting to be found?

Ohhh what kinda colors are there? My poor old Micro is dead-dead now. It won't even turn on even with the charging cord plugged in ;_; so I am totally in want of a new one. Gotta keep an eye on that site!

I keep going back and forth on purchasing one of these, but I really want one of the limited Japan-only (obviously) Mother 3 themed systems. They do not go cheap.

I love collector's edition hardware though...as I've been building up my collection over the last year or so, I've picked up a gold N64, an Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket, and one of the model 2 SNES systems (not really collector's edition, but meh)...so the Mother 3 Micro would be a nice piece for the collection.

Goodness. Forgot about those. I would pay a lot o money for that sucker.

I sure don't need one of these.

But I wouldn't mind having one, either. They're neat looking. I actually worked at Toys R Us when these were super cheap.

TOO BAD FOR ME, I GUESS

That one is nice. I had stopped collecting Micros by the time it came out. I had the FInal Fantasy version (stunning) and also the little Pikachu (very stunning).

HAD, sold them like an idiot.

Mother 3 is one of my top games of all time (avatar quote), but fortunately for me I've always found the Mother 3 GBM pretty lacking.

I've never seen those purple micros before. Very nice. Early 2000s nintendo was besttendo.
