I think it will happen after he goes to KL. Maybe even the penultimate scene of the season. The reunion of the Starks, and then cut to NK burning a hole in the wall and wights and white walkers pouring through.

That was a lot of stupid. Well-made, big budget stupid.
When they announced that they only needed 15 or so episodes to finish the story, I assumed that was because they only had 15 episodes worth of story left. It seems much more evident now that they just want to wrap this shit up. Their idea of a satisfying conclusion is to turn the show into a big, dumb fantasy epic.

By now everyone in Westeros should know that Arya is a faceless. She let the cat out of the bag at Riverrun. I was expecting a scene with Cersei discussing that fact with Qyburn or Jamie what she will do since Arya is actually the biggest threat to her now. It feels like another missing scene in this rushed season.

No one knows it was her at the twins. It was mentioned earlier this season that even qyburn doesn't know who killed the freys.
Jon is just unbelievable, his scenes always end up as some of most breathtaking moments in TV, just an incredible character, the whole Starks are set up as the damn Avengers, all are super human. And Ned is STILL being spoken of when everyone else has been forgotten, his honour transcends his life, amazing family, I knew I bet on the right one. Wasn't so long ago I was cursing myself for being attached to them lol.

It certainly was fun to look at but the in terms of travel time the pacing is just waaaaaaaaaaaay off.
They had to have been on that icy lake for days / a week before Gendry got back to the wall, a raven was sent out and reached Dragonstone, then Dany showing up with her dragons. I can suspend my disbelief to a point but not this much.
I also don't really understand Arya's motivations, she seems needlessly divisive.

There are at least two servants who survived. Arya deliberately showed her faced and told the servant that "The North Remembers" and "Winter came for House Frey". Even if the servants didn't know who they were looking at (unlikely), consider the speech she gave as Walder Frey about the red wedding and 'not killing all of the starks" and "leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe". How could you not put two and two together?

Maybe I missed something, but when did they say that Jon's group had been traveling for days?
They all would have been out of there had Jon got on Drogon immediately.
I've watched the episode twice now. He got Viserion killed.
The time it would take for Gendry to return to Eastwatch, a raven to reach Dany, Dany to fly from Dragonstone to beyond the Wall would be at least ~2 days +

The real winners fam. The true ones. Jon would have been a #fraud of epic proportions if he was raised by the Dragon fuckers, thankfully he got raised by the right house. The winning house.
That moment with Jon and Danny was legit one of the best moments of the entire season. They have fantastic chemistry and are really selling the slow chemistry building.

No he did not. Viserion was in the air fighting the wights, Jon getting on Drogon wouldn't have stopped the NK killing Viserion.

Apart from prolonging the time Dany, Drogon, and the other two dragons stuck around. All of them were on the dragon already for a good while before NK picked up that spear if I'm remembering right, there was no need for him to continue being brave

Thinking about this season, this will be the first time where the season finale will be a big determining factor on how I will feel about the season. In previous season I already had a pretty good feel about each season going into the final episode, but now it could go both ways for me tbh. Of course it being only 7 episodes is a reason for that, but I also feel the season has just been very inconsistent with both amazing moments and dumb ones. So don't disappoint me season finale!

i havent been keeping up with the thread, but i also just watched the ep and this really bothers me. it feels like farce in that if she and sansa just had a conversation it would all go away, but for some baffling reason they don't. i assume because the show needs to add some drama to their relationship. there is no way they would be manipulated that easily. very silly and i just roll my eyes at the arya/sansa scenes. so stupid.

Why didn't they rush the Night King with 3 dragons, dude would've been toast. If Dragon Glass aka Obsidian takes care of them, you'd think 3 fully grown dragons would destroy these fucks easily.
Would've made more sense if they only brought the one dragon, but then they wouldn't have been able to kill one off to get dat Dragon Wight going I s'pose. It definitely could have been handled better though

That episode was so poorly written (possibly the worst of the series) that almost none of it made sense.
Thoros dying from the cold whilst there's two of them who can conjure fire. The whole group freezing as well.
The whole 'grab a zombie' plan was just dumb from the start but then to not just fly up there with a dragon and grab one?
The night king using his spears only at the end.
The only redeeming things about that episode were the visuals and the Tormund and The Hound banter. Everything else was just dumb as fuck and they treat the audience like dummies with the shit they come up with.

They had the conversation. Arya thinks Sansa should have let herself be killed than to write that letter. She doesn't think she was actually aligned with the Lannisters and helped them kill Ned, she's pissed that Sansa didn't try hard enough to resist and sold out her family with seemingly little provocation.
