Those two games were so incredible on the first playthrough, but become less so after that.

Super Metroid is a great game, but I love speed running it too much to want to have to start from nothing again.

Maybe it's because I didn't play the first when it was new, but when I tried to play it earlier this year I just gave up. It has dated horribly, especially compared to the masterpiece that is Half Life 2.

Before that, I was just playing Mario Bros. for the first six months I had my NES. SMB blew my fucking mind at the time.

I'd also like to beat Dragon Warrior III again for the first time! That was pretty classic.

this makes me want to reset my life just to be able to experience the awesomeness of this game again. Everytime i put in the cardridge in my old game boy and hear the intro music i get goosebumps because it reminds me HOW FUKIN AWSOM IT IS!

that intro will forever be my favorite Nintendo moment of all times. It last like 15 seconds, but it's so incredible I used to turn on the GB just to rewatch it.

girl slowly walking on the beach..sees a guy..runs and tries to wake him..camera pans up while the music goes all crescendo until BOOM, the Mountain and the legendary Zelda theme kicks in. Cinematic, epic, superb. Perfect.

can't believe how many times i did that.
sometimes i took every iteration of gameboy i had out, to compare the scene and it's nostalgia level on the different screens and speakers! =D

i bet if i go and watch it now on an old gray gameboy, i will nearly feel like i'm watching it for the first time

this is the reason why i still buy old consoles and games even if they are available on VC or XBLA, it just feels different.
