Gamescom: Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 - PC version announced

The first one didn't make it to PC did it? I sold my PS3 version and never bothered to finish it (the game really drags), but I wouldn't mind giving a 60fps version another shot.

Yeah
Extatic !
Splendid !!

Now, everybody needs a PC version to have something to show with a bit of punch during trade shows like E3 or gamescon.

Good for PC users.

First game was great, second hopefully should be better. Hopefully frame rate is better in the console version this time around.

Surprise to see no wii u version.

Nice

Despite how interesting the first one looked, the performance in the demo made me nauseous so I had to pass

Please do good work

The world would be a better place if every video game had a PC version. This is one step towards that better place.
This world doesn't seem to be too far off with both Microsoft and Sony opting for off the shelf hardware components and Sony even going as far as to release a Playstation store on Android.

Place your bets ladies and gentlemen :

-GFWL
-Locked at 30fps
-No graphical improvements (same textures as the console versions, no DX11, no additionnal effects, no vsync, no AA)
-Poor optimization
-Bugs/crashes galore
-No post release support of any kind.
-Internal framebuffer of 720p.
-No keyboard & mouse controls.

-requires constant internet connection
-drm'd to hell
-GFWL

Watch it be locked at 20 fps.

Bunch of drama queens. Except for a couple of rare exceptions PC ports are generally great nowadays.

Worst thing is Dark Souls has internal framebuffer set to SUB-HD resolution.

LoS2 will for surely be a proper PC release with 60 fps and up to 2500x1600 resolution compatibility :)

First thing I will do is turn off that awful vaseline smearing motion blur.

Note to Mercurysteam, Vaseline motion blur is an terrible "trick" to hide the bad framerate and you should feel bad for doing it.

Capcom ports are actually very good if we exclude the GWFL shenanigans. One can hope that some day they'll see the light and go Steamworks.

Excellent. The first was definitely marred by performance issues on the PS3.
It was worse on 360.

The first game simply didn't run well on either platform and it really did hurt the experience.

This should go a long way towards saving the sequel.

I have a feeling that the game will look impressive on PC! I'm getting the console version though.

I hope they push the limits with this one.

Edit: haha, based Capcom.
