I have brother, out of all the souls-likes I've played in the last few months (Wukong, Lies of P and now going through Khazan) LOTF has been the one I've enjoyed the most thanks to its Grimdark esthetics (The art direction is really something else in this game), exploration and mid difficulty compared to most souls-likes.

The best way I can describe the game is Dark souls x Bloodborne x Blasphemous with some LOK Soul reaver sprinkled in.

Can't really go wrong for €20 !

Hated 1.0 but its a good game nowadays. Hyped for tje sequel with all tje improvements they made. The first full on souls coop games now.

I honesty had to force myself to finish Khazan. Everything outside of the combat is mid.

Anyway, gave LOTF a spin earlier and the madmen also adjusted the sound FX, the hits have even more "oomph" now !
The jump button...feels weird and IMO is unneeded since the usual run+ dodge combo for jumping was already responsive.

They also redid all of the UI.

PS : the 3D photo option is STILL broken ffs, it only worked once when I started playing it but since then I always get presented with a "there's something wrong" message whenever I try to save one - maybe it's a broken save or something but, yeah...

This forum is for people of all opinions bro, and catering to one of either extremes seems really stupid to me. This isnt the forum of one specific opinion or way to think.

I love a nice set of honkers but specifically patching it in to appease the anti woke crowd is just as pathetic as catering to the woke crowd imo.

For real, who the fuck would mind it being changed back to normal and how things should be since there was no reasons to make body type 1 and 2 in the first place. And who would mind male and female actually being more masculine and feminine.

The CEO shouldn't even have needed a poll in the first game and should have just started/launched his game like this already as it's just common sense in the first place.

As a Dad gamer, I don't have time to play a lot these days. The 73% recent review on Steam doesn't seem high enough to get me to buy and play, but maybe that upticks here.

I don't have the PS5 version but have you been to the frozen lands with the passage beyond the door at the Windmill vestige? Every other one is pretty distinct. With the new lamp guidance system you could probably find your way pretty easily.
 
Their post release support should be lauded, but when you have "dedicated jump button" as a listed feature of your major 2.0 overhaul, you took a wrong turn somewhere.

I probably havent played any of those games but if they patched the game afterwards to make the women more ugly and masculine ofcourse that would be just as stupid 😂
 
I tried and finished the trial. It has its redeeming qualities, but overall, it feels a bit mid compared to FS games.

If you have only played as far as the scaffolding attached to Skyrest Bridge you have not experienced any of the good content the game has to offer. It has a very slow start.

Got it on GP but I'll bite on steam, first to support the Devs and second to consolidate my library. At 20 euro is a no brainer
 
The update wipes your save, what the actual fuck. I can still see my character in the menu but no continue option, just new game
 
Gave the game another go with the update. All was going pretty good until I tried out the seamless co-op. It paired me with someone on new game+ several check points ahead (so I was useless), then stranded me there with no idea where I was. When I died to tele back to my previous vestige I had over a dozen new vestiges to teleport to and found a ton of now skipped content making me even more lost as to what the hell is going on. Basically save file ruined. Some more thought for matching up people in closer proximity of progress should have been taken. Guess I'm just staying away from shared progress co-op on a new save.

Edit: I found that if you go to load game it kept a separate save file from right when I joined the other session, huzzah! I'm too used to Souls games being on save to one character.

It's not too bad. There are summons for almost every boss, and there are some great op builds.

All three of my characters are available, even my original one. Oddly enough, the oldest one does not have the vestige option to restart a run, but the other two do.
But the saves all worked just fine.
