Got mine (I believe, still waiting for confirmation e-mail).

My email came really quick. You need to print it out and bring it with you to the show, they'll print you a badge on site.

I believe you can do that starting the Monday of (before the floor opens).

I got mine

I got in, but the Early Bird tickets were sold out so I just cancelled the whole thing. Whoever was #15001 in line, you owe me a "thank you".

Funny how the entire trip to E3 was likely going to cost $1000+ in hotels and airfare, yet it's just the extra $100 they wanted for the ticket that made me say "Screw this".

So can someone who's bought a ticket confirm if you're able to get more than one? Trying to buy for myself and a friend.

I noticed after I finished my registration it said "after reviewing please click Finish or Add Another Registrant", except there was no button for "Add Another Registrant" to click on, so I'm guessing one per queue.

It sais I paid on the webpage and I have a badge number but no e-mail received (not when clicking resend confirmation either). I did tick 'No' to all email options but likely it's just server choking or something.

Will there be any way to transfer these badges? Even just change the name on them? I am currently queued up to get one, but I'm only like 60% sure that I'll be able to go. Would I be able to pass it on to someone else if I can't?

I would have backed out since the Early Bird was gone and still have PAX East and the Switch next month, but I'm weak.
I'm only a couple of hours from LA and I may never get this chance again so... For better or worse, $250 it is.

Just saw this news - I don't have a dying urge to go, but it's something I want to do at least once since I live not too far away.

And regarding the crowds and media, they'll probably have to restructure the event depending on how things pan out this year.

Got mine but it only allowed one registration. Had to queue for GF ticket.

E3 has always been crowded but I imagine it is going to be even more crowded now. And good luck for anyone trying to find parking. They really gouge parking prices that week during E3.

Luckily we live near the metro rail that goes to the Staples Center so no more parking to deal with. Just crowded trains.

I hope they have the Video Games Music Live this year with E3 again. Those were good times being able to go to both.

Confirmation emails GET!

Got my confirmation email almost immediately after purchasing. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to this at $250, but since all I have to do is take a train to downtown LA it was hard to pass up.

Dropped $995 on the business pass.

Interested in getting into the business side of the industry so I'm writing this off (in my own head mind you, not on taxes...) as a education expense haha.

Pretty hyped!

Anyone think this is worth it for someone that lives in Houston, for 250?

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend on hotel stay, flight, etc on top of $250.

To me, even if I did not live in LA, it would be worth it. The atmosphere is crazy for those three days. It is just gaming overload from start to finish. IMO, you don't even have to wait in the crazy lines for some of the demos at all and you would still have a good time.

A bit crowded but if you could get over that, you're good.

I'm scared that the hotel blocks will sell out at a stupidly quick rate this year. Last thing I want is to have to stay at one of the shady hostels again this year.

For those wondering where to stay if you're out of state. Look up anything in the San Fernando valley even, I'm sure you'll find hotels cheaper and more available than in Downtown.

Just take a Lyft to the Orange line, drops you off at the Red line. From there you can get outside of the event. At about less than $5

Avoid $20+ parking fee, traffic (very frustrating), high down town hotel costs, and more.

Sucks How?

Downtown LA just isn't... nice? I guess? The LA Live/Convention Center complex is nice, they've done a good job there.. but almost everywhere else is still pretty gross [source: worked there since 2007].

If you're coming from out of town you will do best with a rental car, as the best parts of LA are not downtown but everywhere else! If you're just planning to do E3, maybe pony up for a close hotel.. walking/short ride from the convention center would be awesome. They do tons of stuff in the parking lots as well, Nvidia has had a pretty solid showing for a few years. They gave out food/drinks/etc.

I'm planning on getting a hotel about 3 miles out and walking.
