Gamespot reviews The Outfit

n action strategy hybrid of this kind has been done before, and done better by games such as Battalion Wars or Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, but still, it's a one of a kind on the Xbox 360, at least for now.

hahah, Battalion Wars > The Outfit

the demo was lots of fun, but it looks like another game i won't buy...

damn, i wish a buyable 360 game came out sometime, i haven't gotten one since DOA4

Five slices of "meh."

But I don't own a 360 to complain. And if I did, I shouldn't complain either, because I would have known exactly what was coming.

I think at least 54 more people need to correct him to get the point across. What is this a TPS Report Convention?

Anyway, I haven't tried the demo myself, but its gotten a lot of positive feedback. Would you guys say the strategy takes more precedence over the shooting, because in that case who cares if the guns aren't that fun. I mean, if at its heart its an RTS and it does that pretty well and it does "ok" at shooting then it should be a pick-me-up, right? Or did I just read the hype for this game wrong?

are you kidding me? if you cant find something to like in any of those five titles i feel really bad for you, why not just throw in the gaming towel all together.

Looking for a platformer or rhythm game?

EDIT: Let me put it another way. Fixed.

What about a platforming rhythm game? Donkey Kong Jungle Fever ftw.

Edit: You thought I was complaining about the 360? Dude, it will be the first and perhaps only next-gen system I buy based off what's been announced. The fact that my anticipated games aren't out yet affects me not in the slightest, other than giving me no need to buy a 360 right now. I'm patient, it's no big deal.

I've heard nothing but universally indifferent (or negative) responses to the demo outside of GAF, so I'm not surprised.

I believe this is Relic's first journey into the world of console games... they're bound to go through some growing pains as they adjust to the platforms and the sensibilities of console gamers. I think a 6.7 is pretty low, but we'll see how it is when it finally hits retail. I expect them to learn from their mistakes, however, and be more on-target on their next one. In the meantime, we have Company of Heroes (PC) to look forward to.

why this call for ban this ban that? What are you saying about bishop as a mod and developer? I don't see why you lot are so obessed about this and it definitely isn't funny. The game is average. Looked like it, and plays like it. Does it matter so much that Bishop is involved in the process? What's next, lets make a big fuss about games that Gazunta is involved in.

unsurprising score
unsurprising reaction

out of curiosity, what do you think of professional wrestling?

Gamepro gave it a better review than GRAW. Im probably gonna buy it just for the multiplayer.

Except for the fact that it was the #2 game on xbox live. Or something like that. Everyone I played it with really seemed to be enjoying it.

Are going to start seeing "underwhelming graphics" as a blanket criticism on 360 games that don't look like GRAW? It's not like The Outfit would've looked this pretty on the original Xbox. *shrug*

You might as well quit gaming, because clearly you are not a gamer any more. Take up knitting or something.

This mentality is so stupid yet all too common on gaming forums. You do not have to buy everything that comes down the line in order to qualify as a gamer. You do not have to buy every well-received game, not even every so called masterpiece. You can buy just one or two games a year and be perfectly normal and content within the realm of the average gaming populace. What if I generally preferred Japanese games? (Which I don't.) Not caring for these five games should force me to turn in my gaming card? Like Faceless Master up there, there are entirely valid reasons for not caring for any of the five games listed. Not like boxing, not liking Clancy games, not liking racers, etc. Give me a Final Fantasy, an SSX, a Ninja Gaiden, and we'll talk.
