Steelbook looks ten times better than every other version, really glad I ordered it. Dispatched with Prime from Amazon, should be here tomorrow.

Characters could be included in a map pack or something. You never know. Otherwise thats pretty shitty and the other 3 pieces must be hella expensive. Unless they've decided to apply their skin pricing structure to actual content.

The steelbook is very nice, it's certainly worth a few extra quid.

Shooting the head is how you down people faster. The difference is remarkable.

Steelbook edition is okay, I guess... I'm just tired of seeing that Marcus picture. Steelbook cover is identical to Coalition's End cover. :|

- The beta thread
- The NeoGAF XBL Gears tags (I manage all three)
- Promotional assets for GoW Nation (logo and First Foray poster, and more)
- overall awesomeness and possessor of infinite levels of swag

I wouldn't be doing all of this if I didn't love Gears or Epic. Though I don't do this stuff with the intent on getting stuff in the return, it would be nice. I do dedicate a lot of my personal and free time towards this stuff.

I had many opportunities to snag the game early. I just didn't feel like paying the high cost of admission. I'm getting my Epic Edition and Retro Lancer tonight. I can't wait.

Can´t say enough how great the campaign is!
For everyone still waiting for the game, make sure to read Coalitions End before starting, the game ties in perfectly.

To keep myself from going insane today, I'm going to do laundry (actual, real laundry) and update the OP with new banners (getting rid of the placeholder ones). Might add even more avatars too.

I'm hitting up Hooters or Popeyes (
spindashing and his KFC lol
) and possibly watching MNF with friends before heading out to GS tonight.

I ordered it last Friday from GAME online.
Was dispatched today at 10 AM.
I will probably get it delivered tomorrow.
I will be working all day tomorrow, the wait will be painful!

I feel your pain, mine was dispatched from GAME in Friday and has still not arrived.

Just checked my pre-order status and it's at "start picking", hopefully tomorrow I'll have the game.

The pre-order bonuses are pretty good also - DLC code for Savage Grenadier or Savage Kantus, a Gears 3 t-shirt and 4 months of XBOX Live...not bad. :)

one of the maps is lopsided lol. it's a weird sensation

also, the retro lancer is a monster. The kick isn't nearly as bad as those early videos made it out to be.

Nice, good luck, I just had a 3 week block of tests and assignments myself.

Mid semester break after this week. But, only 7 weeks till my last exams ever :0

Until doing my CA of course

In the beta the only problem the sawed off had was it's angle, you had to be near enough in their faces to kill with it but aiming was no problem, they re balanced that before the beta ended right?

I'm glad that they gave us a choice between that and the gnasher now, both were rather sweet to use in the beta.
