Who created it? We did. Before these skins were monetized by the companies they went for a shitload of money on eBay. Developers/publishers noticed and took advantage. Don't blame them, blame us.
I would say that's fake but slot machines can do that to people. I've always thought RNG crates in games are the scummiest thing you can do. It makes me uneasy that people brush it off like "oh it's only cosmetic items" but you know damn well they're just preying on people with this shit.

Question about Horde: it seems that there needs to be some serious communication and coordination amongst the team because the points deposited at the Fabricator can be used by anybody at any time as long as the points are there. So the decisions about whether to put up a sentry or a decoy or better perimeter defenses really should be decided by the group, so if you are playing with a bunch of randoms and you're not communicating you can waste points on things you may not need. And it does seem like some players are not fully aware that they need to collect points and hit the fabricator after each round or even during a round and deposit their points. I don't believe earlier versions of Horde were like this. Points were awarded on a per player basis and you were the sole decidor of how you wanted to spend them

I like my 100 point pink gnasher skin more than any of the super glow in the dark ones. ¯_(ツ_/¯ So it's cool I could get that without relying on chance.
I just wish there was a way to get a character skin I liked. I want girl v-day gear and I'm starting to think it'll never happen because I'm not going to drop $200 into this
I also don't understand why Coalition treated Hammerburst as if it's not a core weapon. All the other core weapons have lots of skin variety. I have tons of cool Lancer skins and I never use Lancer. There's one neat Hammerburst skin (the same one that's available for every weapon) but it's so expensive there's really no practical way of getting it outside of extreme, extreme luck.
Also I strongly prefer playing COG because I prefer the narrower female skin that's available on COG side characters. They should either offer this form factor on Swarm (girl locusts? evil humans? skinny robots? idk there's always something they could do) or let me state a preference for COG so it'll shuffle me into a COG team if it can.
Craft it. People seem to forget you can destroy and craft the cards you want.
People also seem to forget depending on luck you barely get anything to craft them with, as you need boxes to get craft mats.

My wife and me made it to wave 49 on normal last night with 3 random people. We fail 3 times and 2 of them just quit. So fucking frustrating.

Yup, there is some crates on every horde map where you can refill your ammo.

There are ammo packs on the map, spawning at the start and sometimes during each round. You can get lucky and get cards for more ammo for your class, but RNG.

Does playing on Insane vs Casual have any difference on how much exp you gain for your Horde classes? I know the overall score multiplier is increased, but I can't tell if it applies to the class grind.

I do agree. I like the characters more then I thought I would but he does seem just a bit generic. Wouldn't even really know he's Marcus son unless they were making it a point to drive that home. Would have been good to make him look even just a bit like Marcus.
Yes, higher difficult increase the payout.
Its slightly noticeable between Casual and Normal as far as I can see.

They spawn in the same spot, at the end of a round just go grab one.

Here here, We (well, not me, as i never bought into these sucker money making dlc schemes from day 1) are to blame for the current state of the gaming industry. $60 season "passes", micro transactions infesting all our games like cancer, half baked crappy games that got continually worse and worse yet the marketing got better and better (No Man's Sky) fee to pay models in AAA full price games, online only shite with no single player content (Battlefront) that were better on consoles two generations ago, the list goes on.
We bought into it, we accepted it and instead of saying "no" with our wallets, we bent over and lubed ourselves up for it willingly like the morons we are and now we are conditioned to accept it as the norm and thats exactly what the publishers wanted.

Thankfully Gears 4 mostly avoids all this, apart from the micro-transactions stuff but they arent that invasive...that season pass is abhorrent though, the rest of the game makes up for it thankfully.

The whole series comes with Gears 4 for a short time though. Sure, it may not be super pretty, but youll get the story.

Gears 2 doesn't deserve an ultimate edition and we've had to wait 5 years since Gears 3, so I would hope an ultimate edition of that isn't even a thought in anyone's mind at Microsoft or The Coalition

Just got back from vacation and finally diving into MP. One thing that keeps bothering me is the loadout, is there any way to save it so that I dont have to change it at the beginning of every match? I always forget to switch from the Lancer and it just seems dumb I cant save my desired guns.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I'm so disappointed with the way playlists are split up.
I either play social, lose the ability to play with more than one friend and have my gametype chosen by total randoms, or play core.
If I play core, I either have to party up and pub stomp solo players or be one of the solo players being pub stomped by parties.
The latter also has no rolling lobbies.
What a rubbish system.

They are, but you also have everything in the pool to get, dupes included.
I opened 15 and got nothing for the class i wanted.
That's 15x5... Nothing... Cant even create the shit i want until you drop it the first time cause fuck you.
Still in Act One but I'm pretty so-so on this so far. Technically it's very pretty though style wise there is something about it I just don't really like. It's not just the ugly characters because all the past games have had that. I can't put my finger on it.
The total paint-by-numbers super-safeness of it is really disappointing so far.
Snarky characters? check!
Typical anti-technological rebel character look (leather, grungy mixed with hoodies, tribal tattoos, goofy facial hair etc etc)? check!
Ultra-generic robot voice acting? check! ("ENGAGING CITIZENS! ENGAGING RELOAD!")
B tier small talk? check! ("uhhh this is highly technical COG door system, it's not so simple to... [dude rips out lock] uhhh or that!")
New weapons (so far) are just ELECTRICAL versions used by robots? check! (shock grenade! shock smg! shock sniper rifle! )
Robots are the exact same as locust (but with electricity)? check! (even down to robot tickers)

It will at some point and you will whish it didnt...just imagine an escort mission on a timer lol...stopped playing there,like many will.
People keep dropping out of horde mode. Every time I get past wave 20, there's only 3 or less people left.
Which mission is this? Feel free to spoiler tag it. I beat the entire game and don't remember an escort mission on a timer. And that's a mission that really would've annoyed me.
