To be fair it's more of a design flaw than people quitting because they're idiots. It's unrealistic to expect people to stay for 1+ hour, most just jump on for a quick 30 minute session. It's ridiculous that they didn't include mid-way match making for Horde.

I feel bad for the people who don't have their characters or enough scrap to get it, I'm at level 32? And have commando Dom and Cole, working on getting one of the robots at 450 scrap I think?

Idk about this system tbh, but the inconsistncy with one shots gotta get fixed before it lol

Also I fear for the future in terms of getting characters, there's a lot of UIR stuff here so I imagine Paduk is coming back, bernies in the prologue, it's weird to me that they didn't include her when they have like 4 Hoffman variant but whatever :v

Quitters are absolutely ruining ranked for me. It's a constant uphill battle anyway, let alone when a salty teammate throws their toys out their pram because they got killed.

It just comes after another game left me with just one other player on my team.

I agree no join in progress is a huge design flaw but if you don't have the time or patience to play it all then dont. Simple.

I meant the Snatcher encounters,especially the first one...I failed a lot of times because it ran away with Kait or Del(the timer and escort since you have to take care of them also) but whatever lol,I managed the first one.

We just kept trying at it, rebooting our systems and it just finally started to work again. It's fantastic once you get in but getting in has been a bit of a problem so far.

Ah, gotta love to get players on my team who can't down someone who is stuck in a 3 second animation executing me. I see him spraying with his lancer like a mad man, only half the bullets even hit.

Next game I get the same guy on my team, he went 0-11 and got 230 points in total and we lost because of him alone. He would've been more useful just hiding somewhere. :p

So the Versus Booster has consumables to boost your rank, right?

But unlike say COD, your rank does not unlock anything. Or does it?

I can understand why you would purchase the Horde Booster but not the Versus one, unless you want your rank to get higher faster. But that is just a number.

Unless I am missing something?

After I got my achievement for getting ranked in everything I settled for social and I am much happier.

Oh man. Reached Wave 40 with 3 friends. We all died and lost all of our fortifications.

Managed to defeat a
Swarmak
by hunkering down in a corner and playing smart.

Felt SO satisfying when I saw the kill hit the kill feed.

Every 5 levels you get 400 of the ingame currency. It's the only thing I can think of

You have to destroy cards you own for scrap. You can destroy just your duplicates or your single cards if you don't like that card (card being anything from emblems, skins, bounties, and class skills).

Fuuuuuck... So last night I hopped into a Horde match (Casual difficulty) and we were kicking ass. We failed a few times, but we kept bouncing back and making it to the next wave. We started off with a full crew (of five), two dropped out after we failed wave 20 (the first time), and from wave 20 to 40, there were three of us. Me and one other player powered through to wave 45, but the other player quit after we failed it a few times.

I tried like hell to get through the wave alone, but it just wasn't possible. Didn't have the firepower and it just wasn't possible to hold off the overwhelming force of the AI. Man, coming so close to beating it and then ending up having it all (at least three hours) for nothing was such a kick in the teeth.

story way better than any old gears but... the enemies are not really that fun. Does it pick up?

The best Gears 2 matches were 18 round Execution matches that went until both teams were tied at 17 (or was it 19 round, tied 18?); Either way if you had two close teams with no quitters they were around 45-60 minutes to get to that many rounds. Those matches were intense.

Horde is best with a team so I'm just happy there is matchmaking.

If you want a real group then join with fellow GAF. My tag is eightyeightmph if you see me on, as I will be in a few hours.

Hyperbole; People said Titanfall was dead but I still found full games easily and quickly months after that started spreading. (Far from ideal but there were people.) if you have it then see for yourself is always the best idea.

Social is fine. I haven't been able to get into a ranked game yet, make of that what you will.

Horde we've only run into one other pc player. Everyone else we've played with is on console, which is annoying because they don't use text chat and don't get as many kills.

Unless you only want to play social or ranked TDM, I won't call it hyperbole.

It's basically impossible to find a competitive game so I still haven't been able to even try out Escalation or Execution yet. I also haven't been able to find a single ranked Warzone, Guardian or Arms Race.

It is as close to dead as it can be if you exclude social (which is only for party of 2 people at most) or TDM. Sometimes I can also find a KotH match.

Edit: Just to add, I have been searching for a TDM game for over 15 minutes now without finding one.

On the other hand, I tend to find the lone PC player annoying, because he plays point trying to get as many kills as possible and ends up dead in a later wave (and then of course leaves the game).

What? I've been outscoring/killing most pc players i've matched up with.
PC players only really benefit being snipers.

If the PC player has a good setup then they should have a pretty big advantage due to it running much better. Locked 60fps is much easier to play than 30fps with drops.

Has anyone done their placements and gotten higher than Silver 3? This is dumb as hell

Just played KOTH and my final placement match was against Diamonds and still put me at Silver, clearly if I'm 2-0ing Diamonds maybe I don't belong in silver?

I live in New York, and usually US East is one of, if not the most populated regions in gaming. I can't find anything in most modes, and even Execution can take me up to 5 minutes to find a match.

Social and TDM I find matches quickly though

I hate deebees. I always have to do a double take online because I'm so used to seeing pale skinned monster looking fuckers on the other team. Sometimes I think robots are my allies lol.

I've gotten pretty lucky with my case openings so far. I saw that post on the gears subreddit and on the gears forum about how he opened 300 packs and got no epics but I've opened like 30 and got 5-6 epics so far.

was he just confusing epics with legendaries?
