Yesterday I beat 1 - 50 waves on insane for the first time (engineer level 8 here), playing with randoms and no mic. It was not as difficult as you could imagine as the 4 or us were really coordinate from 1 - 31. A invited a friend who help us the last 19 rounds using one of the turrets we had.
The game is really easy if each one does what is supposed to do

A good engineer really makes or breaks Horde. I have so many 1-50 bounties but people keep quitting around 20 or so. Feelsbadman.

Soooo TIL you can plant grenades near spawn in Dodgeball in round 1 and it'll still kill people when they spawn in Round 2. And so on...

It's the Locust symbol. The implication being Reyna (and Kait) are descendants of the queen from the original trilogy. The next game will probably focus on the Swarm/Locust trying to get Kait now her mother is dead.

Yeah, that is going to be interesting! So essentially making a new Queen for them as they had a queen for the locust. Kait is fired up and ready to kill them all, but if she finds out more about her past, i can see a potential change of heart or something. haha you know, to keep the story going

JD not letting Marcus call in Baird and being an idiot for no reason all because he created DeeBee's that Jinn turned bad. First Minister Jinn despite being so ruthless and cunning is basically an idiot. The whole game felt aimed at 12 year olds. Implausible and incoherent by the end in terms of story told.

Yeah, i dont remember seeing Anya's grave during my walk through. =/ But i think the last boss was an interesting choice. Once we seen the helicopter crash and Marcus n co escaped, i was expecting we would have to go get them out. but nah they just walk up and say good job after you kill the big guy. i think it would have been way more grandeur if when we walked in, we would have seen a spectacle like how grand halls are for human king/queens on a throne. So it would be implied she was being used to become the new queen or something like that. Sooo when Marcus dropped the line it could have made it more obvious versus us remembering what that symbol meant lol

I know your feeling. It really gets me when people quit (no matter the difficulty) on round 21, with 3 or 4 turrets already built and perfectly fine.
I still have to try the Groups things after the last OS update. I might be able to find people whom is willing to go all the way to 50 (or at least trying to).

why does it take so long to find a match? sat waiting for 3 min. the lag in quick match is quite bad sometimes i just lag out completely, its not my connection because when i do casual matchmaking it runs perfect so i dont think the whole game is on servers.

I get the odd bit of lag as well - teleporting backwards was a problem a week or so ago - and I rarely have any issues with multiplayer games on the Xbox or PS4.

I don't tend to have much trouble finding matches though.

i still dont like the new active system, its just win/win, with the older system u had to waste bullets to get actives now its instantaneous. the cool down is so short its irrelevant, hope they revert back to the old.

i still havn't managed to get the hang of hipfire shotgun in this game, feels quite different to gears 3. the game feels a little rushed, lacks the polish of gears 3 but the overall gameplay is quite solid.

Yeah there is. But in social. And they are probably do cross play soon for social.

The "gimmick" moments are typically fun rather than being frustrating (ala all the "escort/turret" segments in Gears 2), the moment to moment combat felt fantastic and the new/returning characters all had great moments.

Finished the campaign. What a ride! I think Gears 3 is still my favorite campaign of the series for how over the top it is, but Gears 4 is highly satisfying and I love the direction it's going.

Game saves and progress such as multiplayer cosmetic unlocks are automatically shared and synced between windows 10 and xbox 1.

Crossplay is currently supported for campaign co-op and horde mode. They're going to test versus deathmatch multiplayer crossplay soon, unless it's already started.

Edit: testing of crossplay for versus mode is happening in December, starting with the social quickplay mode.

Yeah, I don't think it was really explained... Also finished the campaign today. I really enjoyed the ride. I think I enjoyed the enemies more than the lambent in three. I really liked juvies compared to wretches. My only issues is it seemed like scions were complete bulletsponges and kind of a chore to fight when they had the drop shot.
